It should be said that after hearing it at a friends I thought I'm gonna find one of these at a fleamarket in no time, but it took me 5 years to find my first copy, then 3 years to find the second, then 6 months to find the third, so I don't think it's very common (at least not in sweden) however that price is surely exaggerated as copies have gone for less on eBay - check popsike...

there's quite a few copies listed on popsike, but prices are all over the place, so i can imagine that you can come across it for a reasonable price.

there's also a cd reissue of the whole album.

I think we've discussed this very LP in the past

I hate it when dealers do this - perhaps we should pool our collective knowledge and name all the squirrells listed on such sites.....

Excellent idea, something constructive. Except that I can no longer listen to Juliano's sound clips so a fat lot of use I can be for this...

i wasn't meaning to be negative, i was just poking fun at the name "recordkingz"...

it just seems that a lot of people on here would beg to differ...

and i have to admit though, ive bought records from him on the v rare occasions that i've felt flush.....

Exactly! If people feel so strongly about him just boycott him (and that goes for all the other shops that people have moaned about). I've no problem with taking the piss out but the whole 'Recordkingz - they're a bit overpriced aren't they?' thread crops up as often as charity shop pricing, and goes nowhere in exactly the same way.

To give Julian his dues, he's actually come on here before, defended himself and listened to what we had to say, then taken note of some of it, and ignored most.

Anyway, apologies for being less than chirpy today - Mr. Bongolia trapped me in his flat last night and subjected me to countles Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band records into the early hours, with only tea and chocolate truffles for sustenance.

    34014 to go...

no-one was forcing you to stay! anyway, it's your fault for saying that you'd heard there were 'good tracks' on them.

plus your counting is terrible - can you only count to 2 then?

I've purchased vinyl from Juliano when I haven't been flush. I was hunting an LP three weeks ago; found three copies of it available from different sellers; and the Recordkingz one was the cheapest by £10....and in excellent condition. Quick delivery too.
Well happy I was / am.

    You gotta shop around......

I wasn't having a pop at the Recordzingz- I just wanted to know what the record was - as Rich says if you don't like it, don't use it.

I must say the selling of stuff 'covered up' strikes me as a bit dodgy and naughty though - makes me cynically assume that not all the cheap copies have been hovered up yet.

The only one I can uncover is the reggae version of 'Sing a Simple Song' that's on there - it's from an LP by Tomorrows Children.

My spelling's pretty bad too. Apparently I can't count or spell 'countless'. But, today, I do have an excellent understanding of how weather works... And yes, if anyone can direct us to some better Bonzo's tracks than 'Urban Spaceman'... I was sure I'd heard some but we didn't find them last night. Mark?

What's that tune where it just keeps on listing people who are playing - intro and outro or something isn't it? I like that one.

'We Are Normal' is great track by the Bonzo's, like early Floyd imo.

That was played last night but, to me anyway, it falls into the category of 'laugh-at-the-joke-once-but-then-you-don't-really-need-to-hear-it-again' songs (has that sub-genre been coined yet?) and I thought I'd heard Bonzo's tracks that stood up to more repeated listening, at some point. Dunno if we heard ROCKPROF and Lee's suggestions though...
