    My girl just stumbled on a huge cache of unmoved Bollywood record stock and sussed me to them. Grabbed a few of the more interesting items and scored a few doubles so pm me if your interested (I have an aversion to anything with breaks)

    Wow! Where did this turn up? He was on the cusp of his thrash jazz period here so you can imagine how he mangles up Morricone. You may already be a Zorn fan and know what to expect, but this ain't easy listening. Check out Erotico, though. The only track I know that credits "sexy italian vocals". I'd actualy shortlisted it for my swap CD, might have to do a rethink now.

    Thats a Zorn album on the avatar, incidentally.

    Came from Selectadisc secondhand bins: find Zorn very hit and miss, but do like enough of what I've heard for the prospect of his takes on Morricone to be worth a cheap punt - but not listened yet...will definitely pay attention to Erotico, though!

    The local Oxfam had put out some new stock today. The local British Heart shop has as well, mainly Country and Western.

    The Crusaders, Free As The Wind.

    Dusty Springfield, Stay A While. Fontana lable 1966.

    The Chieftains Live, CBS lable 1977.

    Tom Jones, I, Who Have Nothing. Decca, Sterio.

    James Young, Behind The Barricades. Comedy record.

    Cat Stevens, Teaser and the Firecat. Island lable. 1971.

    I seem to be finding Cat Stevens in the last two months. I got Catch Bull At Four last month, Tea With The Tillerman and Greatest hits yesterday and now this one.

    One interesting find yesterday - Mystery Maker - S/T. Private press Xtian prog folk thing with sky high book price for fifty pence. Anyone know anything about it?

    Herbie Mann Afro-Jazz Sextet & 4 Trumpets - Common Ground - Atlantic US for a quid this morning & it's very worthy.

    I love Herbie Mann...I've got 'a mann and a woman' with Tamiko Jones, and a split lp with Joao Gilberto...both are excellent...esp mann and a woman

    Just back from India - no records there I tell you! Great and crazy place though.

    Anyroad a quick tootle around my local chazzers netted:

    Ronnie & The Pomona Casuals - Everybody Jerk (looks great and would appear to have Lee Dorsey and James Brown covers on it - anyone know this?)
    Assagai - Afro Rock (the MFP one - spare)
    Various - Afro Rock Festival (like the version of 'Listen Here' on this - spare)

    Also got a bunch of stuff waiting for me in the post which reminds me - who where Larrys Rebels apart from being a NZ pop sikey band and why did they cover the Creation's 'Painter Man'? Very Strange!

    enoch light: discotheque vol. 2 - loving the production and orchestration but haven't yet heard anything really exciting by him
