Default Illustrated London Noise @ ICA - October 19th - Funk in unexpected places

The third ILN is looking like a wild one....

On the decks will be llmod1, Daddy Ya Ya, Veris and myself + 1 other tbc. Funky stuff from unlikely places and unlikely genres will tried and tested.

As before there will be the Trader's Corner for VVs and general public alike - I'm hoping for some more Eurythmics 12"s and some old 78s with cracks in them, as were eagerly revealed at the last ILN.... Me and Viva Chiba could be seen trading away to our hearts' content.

This time will also see a short live set - funky looped mediaeval Theorbo

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theorbo

Hope you can all make it - the start of a VV triple-decker with House of Wrong on Friday and Vannier on Saturday.

Default ILN - Room for one more on the decks

Flytipper can't make this one - so - anyone else out there who wants to spin some funky stuff from unlikely places and unlikely genres?

Let me know - PM me if you have any questions

Love to, but three nights on the toon, loose from the babyshackles of paternity would lead to the gallows for me old friend. See you all down the dirty, pretty thing we call the House of Wrong on Freeday.

    Have a bastard ball y'all!

Default Who says free newspapers are rubbish??

Surprisingly the last ILN (Good versus Evil) was listed / reviewed in The London Paper:

‘odd, wonderful club night... anything from suicide-inducing heavy metal to angelic chants will fit the bill tonight’

    'bout right I think

Anyone in Camden / Islington in the next few days / weekend? If you are, would you be able to drop off a few flyers at relevant spots? PM your address if you can, and I'll post some out to you..... many thanks

Default This Thursday - all systems are GO!!!

The countdown begins..... artwork for projections is in preparation (some great covers again!), record collections are being pulled apart in search of the elusive and unlikely funky track, and a few trades are being put to one side.... bring it on!

A belated announcement that we are proud to confirm that the one and only DJ Sermad will be joining us on the decks on the night!

Definitely going to get down to this although not early because I'm playing football in Finsbury Park at half eight. It will finish soon after nine and I will high tail it to the ICA - don't sit next to me because I will smell.

Five of my favourite DJ's in one place. I am there. Looking forward to this (although I'll apologise in advance for ducking out before the end to drive back home ).

Many thanks folks for making it another great night!!! Some great tunes from everyone and a lovely (though quiet!) live set from Wyrewood.

Lots of positive feedback from the punters, which is the important thing.

Good to see 153rd Soul there from switzerland - hope you enjoyed your first taste of London ILN style - thanks Oliver for the trades and the single (which sounded great!) - hope you like the Murray Head LP.

I left Daddy Ya Ya on the decks when I packed up sometime after midnight, for all I know he's still there introducing (biggin' up) each track to the hardcore followers worshipping at his feet.... Respect sir!

Roll on November 9th - just 3 weeks away!

and another good showing from the VV crowd. me, bongolia and astrid, rich hero, filthy rich, 153rd soul and mrs soul (helen), eclipsechaser, plus the vinyl bringers of the evening.

had to do my usual early departure, but a fine evening.

    good work.

Thanks for organising Pitch. Thanks a lot for the seven inch Ollie, was so tired when I got home (still am now in fact, been out every damn night this week) that I only listened to half of each side but sounded sharp.
    Totally cream crackered now.

Pitch thanks for the opportunity to play and every one else at ILN, the VV'ers and associates.

I had a brief but excellent time last night , I had to leave early. I'm disappointed not to have the chance to hear every ones sets. I had to do with drooling over the projections of some amazing records and so look forward to the set lists - Pitch I have mine ready to go. There was more drooling behind the decks as I ate a Steak sandwich and chips and Dj'd at the same time - that's my excuse. How do you clean a record covered in mayo fingerprints?

It was a great idea to have a live dimension - shame about the volume. Please do it again.

Well tonight is the second part of three -- House of Wrong , see you there!

    Thumbs up

Yep, another excellent ILN. Great music, great people and nice to meet yet another Vulture. Cheers for the 45 Oli (nice!). I hope you had some digging success.
