Weird Gear is back w/new venue Weds Nov 28

After a very lengthy search for a suitable venue, Weird Gear has found what looks like the perfect match: the subtonic lounge at Tonic - 107 Norfolk Street (btw Rivington & Delancy) on Manhattan's lower East side. So beginning on Wednesday November 28 and continuing on the last Weds of the month, Weird Gear is back!

Weird Gear: Beyond Your Listening Pleasure
Nick Cope, DJ Honky, Pomonkey, Marty Key, Mr Finewine & guests spin a crystal globe of obscure misfit vinyl: Hairy Hungarian, Funky Polish, Dark French, Big Swedish, Odd Welsh, Eccentric English, Crazy Turks, you get the idea.

So do pop down on Nov 28, say hi, pick up a CD, enjoy the music, have a drink, see you there.

    Current WG faves:
    Kirka - Igor (Scandia)
Francois de Roubaix - Dernier Domicile Connu (Barclay)
Franco Battiato - Beta (Bla Bla)
Sidney Owens - Sputnik (Moving Up)

Not on the 45, you must be talking about the LP? Both tracks are also available on Scandia 45s

There are two issues of the Kirka 45, also one EP from the movie with a pic sleeve.

Tommy Körbergs version is the best!

Well, I've missed the one with Pitkän Tien Pää (Spinning Wheel) on the flip then. Have the Ep and another 45 but not that one.
