Question joe boyd/elektra "signs of the zodiac" LP query...

have just read the joe boyd autobiography "white bicycles", some of which may be of interest to VV-types...

joe briefly mentions the following which is of particular interest: when he started working for Elektra Records in London (at a guess, in 1965) he states Elektra were using Sound Technique Studios for an instrumental series of (Jac) Holzman's devising called "signs of the zodiac" (string players in London were better and cheaper than in New York)...

is this a reference to the LP on Elektra that came out in 1967, called "cosmic sounds", and credited to "the zodiac"? this LP features tracks written by mort garson, and playing by hal blaine, carol kaye, bud shank, paul beaver et al (according to web reviews i've found)...

or is it something else? any info gratefully recieved...

i've not heard the zodiac LP - is it worth checking out?
    thanks

This is something different - LPs about each sign of the zodiac as far as I understand. Nothing to do with The Zodiac LP I don't think.

I believe Nancy Priddy was a vocalist on the Zodiac series of LP's.

You were scuppered a bit when those people waiting in front of you in the queue gave him there CD. I can only assume he wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as the EP.
