    Talking

Lots of tasty treats lined up for the first quarter of 2004. Live funk, or close relations to funk, twice a month 'til May, loads more after that. Door may be an enormous £2 by then, how will you ever afford it... All the money is going to the bands, except for my 10 quid cab fare, so getting guest DJs may be tricky since there's little money left over - it's not a case of just getting my mates to play. This is all done for the purpose of spreading good music, so if anyone would like to DJ for a bunch of drinks and cab fare, mail me at nickcope@blueyonder.co.uk Sorry I won't be able to offer much more than that, at least until May anyway, but it's all good fun... So here's the line-up:

Jan 22 - Mr Guder (3-piece, Breakestra style, good fun)
Feb 05 - ¬Kico Cowen's Afro-Cuban Groove (latin action to thaw out the winter)
Feb 19 - ¬Little Barrie (tbc) (UK style funky rock, excellent band, nice lads)
Mar 04 - ¬Kold Fusion (bit more souful, but they get dirty too)
    Mar 18 - ¬Baker Brothers (3-piece funk with a presence more like 10)
Apr 01 - ¬New Master Sounds (and that's no April fool)
Apr 15 - ¬Horizon 22 (Bullitt meets Cissy Strut plus originals)

Nick - the venue I was talking to you about are in, depending on dates, and days of the week obviously.

Mail me at the usual if you want to discuss further.

Looking forward to it - what's the score with the entry - is it £2 now? Just want to do a mail shot and get stuff out to listings sites ...

I think so, but don't be surprised if we don't bother...

That link is a little out of date now, as there's no pool table any more, replaced with nerds.

I'm already down for that one Fryer - Nick asked me middle of December. I think there's someone else on the card as well.

    There might be enough room.....Nick?

Are you sure it was food poisoning?

We already have Greg Belson & Thierry Steuve coming over from Belgium to guest DJ, but I suppose I could squeeze you in Fryer, but that's it - no more cherrypicking the best events!

Also, I have another gig lined up for NMS at The Eye, Stoke Newington, the next day - Friday April 02. Free entry, so catch 'em twice! But if I see you at The Eye and not at HF&S the night before... Why I'll...

Vibra will be coming down to DJ, armed with promotional material, at the April 15 HF&S, with Horizon 22 btw.

Not yet. Still waiting for Colin to confirm Little Barrie. Every other band has committed except LB and it's beginning to get on my tits...
