Default A Meters LP pressing/label query

Back in 1990 I bought my first Meters LP (Struttin') from a record fair for the massive sum (at least for me at the time) of 25. It was sealed, US pasted sleeve and slight ringwear suggesting ageing. This is the label.....

Now my other 2 Meters LP have the usual Josie colour scheme etc. The above label looks like a shady bootleg but I can't believe that LP would have been booted at that time and the cover is definitely an original.

So is my copy just a label variation/pressing plant oddity which I presume was fairly common on small regional pressing plant runs? I really hope this is the case!

    Cheers.

I have a copy of this at home which is most probably a boot/reissue - chicken strut sounds awful, like there is fluff on the needle or something if that helps.
I can check the label later if you like.

If you wouldn't mind. Let me know if your sleeve is pasted as well.

Mine sounds fine but it's really annoying to think I paid 25 for a boot at that time. I still see the dealer around....wonder if it's too late to ask for a refund at this stage*

*The dealer is as tight as they come so even if I'd bought it last week he'd still be an arse about it!

Can you guess who the dealer would be Sie V?

    The deadwax is JOS-4012A b/w JOS-4012B.

You might be right with the West Indies, Jamaica or somewhere like that? It came in a polythene inner which I normally associate with that part of the world?

really looks like these WI low-budget labels (Barbados/Trinidad or Dynamic Sounds Jamaica), also the inner sounds suspicious!

hmmm sure looks like a bootleg...

all those Meters Josie albums were reissued (thru Rhino) in the late 90s and I picked up my copies then. want me to dig one out and post a pic of the label?

Cheers for the offer but its OK. I know what the label looks like on a US original (which is the same as the late 90's boots).
