    Default Regis Rose Records

Anybody know anything about the Regis Rose label? I picked up a single on it, Bob Anthony's, 'Mama Please Light A Candle For Me', in a charity shop today. It looks like a custom pressing job, and it dates from c.1978. The catalogue number, RR-29, suggests that there should be other Regis Roses out there, but Google hasn't revealed any. I've put it on the 7tt77 site, at http://www.7tt77.co.uk/REGIS_ROSE.html if you need to see what it looks like - it's not very interesting, I hasten to add. Any ideas?

If it's Bob Anthony, they'll be a Jersey-based label - he had his own label, Ile D'amour (who are also credited as the publisher for this track), and it wouldn't surprise me if he had something to do with Regis Rose in some way as well.

Bob appears to have been Jersey's top cabaret crooner in the 70s - he also did an instructional LP for the aspiring club singer, 'We'd Like To Teach You To Sing', with full details on how to perfect your cabaret act (if anyone has a spare of this, I need one!!) Wonder where he is now?
