Default US to UK tracking tips?

    Hello Vultures,

I have been waiting on a record from the states for nearly a month now, and I think it's about time to get pro-active in figuring out where the hell it is.

I have a tracking #, which I can enter into the USPS website, which confirms that it was sent. When I check the Royal Mail website, it says it can't track packages from overseas, similarly Parcel Force doesn't recognize the #. I sent e-mails to both inquiring about it, supposedly they'll get back to me in 3 days.

I'm still hoping the package will appear on my doorstep any day now, but do you guys have any tried and true methods for tracking such items?

    Thanks in advance.

The tracking thing is just a gimmik, it doesn't really work. I have heard of lots of people saying that most just stop being tracked, even after it's been delivered your parcel can often be seen to have not arrived in the UK yet!
If it's in customs then it may still turn up.

Word? Ok, thanks for that bit of insight. In the states tracking actually works. That's cool though, my record karma is good, I'm sure my package will get here soon enough. thanks and peace.

It's very probably with customs. They hold a number of items to check what's inside according to the customs declaration sticker *is actually* what's inside! I've had a few items coming from the US that have been detained in this way; all of them eventually turned up OK.
