She did a really good album on Tetragrammaton or whatever it's called... The album is "Relight My Fire" and used to be quite easy to find, but there's a few tunes the northern soul brigade have jumped on ("I Cry Myself To Sleep" etc.) so the price has gone up. But the singles can be found cheap-ish - "Light My Fire", "You're Doing It With Her" etc.

Also got her version of Maxine Brown's "One In A Million" (Columbia) which is a pretty nice cover.

"You're Doing It With Her" is a really consistent tune, as in it has passed the test of time for sure - up there with stuff like the Inell Young's what do you see in her, Barbara Mason's you better stop and Pat Brown's the good got to suffer for the bad. Superb tune and cheap too.

    Such a good song.

Her lp is pretty solid all the way through and not terribly rare or pricey.

That's off her first LP 'Introducing an electrifying new star Rheta Hughes' (note spelling of Rheta with a single 't') featuring Tennyson Stephens and produced by Ralph Bass.

It's loaded with cover versions and a Broadway hit or two, but does included the excellent jazz dancer 'Like young'....sounds ace next to Jean DuShon's 'Early one morning' from her LP 'Here comes Jean DuShon'. Superb track.

"I Can't Stand Under This Pressure" on Tetragrammation is a beautiful tune. I have it on 7" and haven't heard anything else she's done so will investigate "light my fire" etc...

    Question

My copy of "I Can't Stand This Pressure" has "You're Doing It With Her" on the flip... Is that the real deal Just wondered if there was more than one issue of this, that's all...

No, that's the one. I remember Fryer first playing that to us at H,F&S - when the backing in the chorus comes in... Beautiful.
