Dettwork South East by Blak Twang...
a classic hip-hop track, the only song I know of that mentions my "manor"
"If you get my meaning,
Steaming,
Robbing and stealing, in West Ealing."
...wurd. for windows.
Keeping it real, sarf-side!

You'll be needing PD3's 'Because We're From London'. Or whatever it's called.... in your Hip Hop list![]()
Matt Hero
The Animals 'we've gotta get out of this place'
Gene Pitney 'Town without pity'
and most importantly;
Peter, Paul & Mary 'Leaving on a jet plane'

Twang is as twang does.
Pitch - I can get you a few of these for Friday - The Peddlers, London Posse and Blossom Dearie... assuming MP3's are okay...?
"Sometimes I get a hot ear..."
Thanks Sie - would be great to get the Blossom Dearie in MP3 format, just in case - though playing it out would break all ILN rules! I think the only MP3 played was of an old 78, which was fair enough..... but - it's all about the music after all, and that does seem to be a key track. (I have the Peddlers).
