Is it just me..... or is this an awesome track, up there with Macca's solo 'Temporary Secretary' track?

It's great when you put something up that you think is wonderous discovery.... and it is met by a wall of indifference. I guess it means one of 2 things:
1. No-one is particularly interested - everyone knows the point of reference and don't understand what the fuss is about.
2. No-one knows what you are talking about, but potentially it seems hardly worth enquiring about as it seems an unpromising lead / tip.
In the vague hope, on this occasion, it is '2'.... I implore you to listen to the track in question!

I must admit to never having heard a Wings LP. Which one is this track on?
I shall hunt it out!
Confess to not knowing 'Temporary Secretary' either!![]()
We know when a mate buys it for you too.
It is on the not particularly notable 'London Town' album (late 70s), I got it cheap for the title track (another London tune), and thought I better play it all the way through before returning to the wild..... this was the last track.
'Temporary Sectretary' is on the actually quite interesting 'McCartney II" album, and is known as a bit of an alternative dance track - kind of proto-electro-house!!

Temporary Secretary is indeed excellent - though rather slagged off at the time, I believe. I shall investigate this Wings track forthwith - Wings are most unfairly written off in my book, their theme from 'The Zoo Gang' is another good 'un.
Wings rule! These days I'm all about "Mumbo" from Wild Life.
Will listen once I get home but on this topic, do you know 'Check My Machine' Pitch? Macca solo b-side from 1980 but its a very odd funk thing, kind of like if Tomorrow Never Knows was done in 1980.

Found a spare the other day - PM me your address and I'll post it out.
i have almost all of Macca's post-Beatles output up to the mid 80snever found Wildlife though.
loads of alright tracks (among some real horrors, it has to be said) - Letting Go, Old Siam Sir, Mama Miss America, most of the Band on the Run LP (crap lyrics aside), Silly Love Songs, Goodnight Tonight, Maybe I'm Amazed... like any 'VV type' artist, just have to dig in and wade through to find the better stuff.
Wings !! Only the band The Beatles could have been - Alan Partridge.
As a youth I was a Beatles nut. And collected most of the solo stuff as well. Wings did some cracking stuff and some rank chuff. Big fan off Uncle albert from the Ram lp. I think 'Coming up' (which ain't a bad tune in itself)is the A side to the Temp secretary.
I believe this also came out as 12"![]()

Found this for 20p at a car boot yesterday. Cheers for the heads up. Marvellous stuff!
Loup (1st Indian On The Moon) on Red Rose Speedway is another track with a sound you wouldn't expect to find on a Wings LP.
