    Hi

What's the Amphonic next to 'sounds 80' (which someone should grab for the moody 'trip-hop' and phased drums track)?

What's the 'Musique Apprivoisse' like - the sleeve is ringing bells for some reason

Despite the title, Sounds 80 is from the early 70s... Rather like those Amphonics, me.
The one next to it is The Otto Keller Orchestra - big sweeping compositions by Syd Dale mainly with his signature lush orchestration. I'm a sucker for his sound but on this album the strings get a bit in the way, me thinks.
It works on a few tunes, though.

The Musique Apprivoisée is by Michel Lorin and came out on Epervier. French big band but a really awesome LP if you like your jazz crisp and lively. The Travelling Orchestra bring compositions of Claude Thomain, André Lutereau and Lorin himself - Lorin is a percussionist so his snappy contribution sets the tone for this fun LP. Killer cover art to boot.
