on Nova... called "An American In Hamburg". extras are instrumentals of the vocal tracks. pressed on very fat vinyl, bomb proof.

A copy of this found it's way to me recently for a real bargin bin fee, which was nice

Great Nimbus LP and there are a few. 'A case in point' and the jazz vocal 'The Creator's Musicians', which I love but may be an aquired taste vocal-wise are the standouts but the whole thing is ace.

Haven't played anything else since it arrived....

    Priima's Swap CD.

    All 70 of them!!!

We have a plan for belated distribution of Kessakushu and Priima's Swap Disks. Any other miscreants/ late-non submitters who still fancy they could do something soon-ish, PM me.

This morning, in lieu of sooo many things turning up - records, swap mixes, best ofs.... this did appear and very good it is too (although I see it seems to sold out already).

Ive just had this on three times in a row. After seeing MPFlapp had just picked one up, I decided to dig my copy out. What a great LP it is, pop psych with a slightly twisted left field slant, just the way I like it.

Heavy-weight Brazilian cast, including Dom Salvador, Joao Donato and Sivuca, plus Mauricio Smith & Stanley Clarke. Some great fluid jazz, never veers too far into self-indulgence. You could play any track on here out & it would go down a storm (well, if the crowd wasn't expecting freakbeat it would...)

Found this the day after I landed in Frankfurt for one € . Easily tops my London finds as it hasnt left the record player much. Recommended if you like your psych funky and vice versa. There is no place like home.

Thanks Pencilface! I love this one, pretty much what I had in mind when I asked on this board about spiritual jazz with synthesizers. Groovy and meditative and everything the other Reid/Kieran albums failed to be.

Can't believe it's taken me so long to pick it up - -exactly as good as i'd hoped (and the single 'round & round' would have you believe)

I only have his "House Party" LP from about 6 years ago - - - need to get more of his stuff.

Still no telly, so Ive been getting through plenty of my records, these have been on this morning -

Giant - Whats in the life for you? (Mercury)
I got a cheap NM copy the first year I went to Utrecht, when I got it home it stuck on the best track "Queen of downs". Finally bit the bullet, and grabbed a reasonably priced one on line.

Ian Carr's Nucleus - Roots (Vertigo)
On of their better ones too my ears, the title track rules!

    The Nite-lighters - A.nal.y.sis (RCA)
I know funk's not cool any more! but all their LP's have worthy tracks.I think only need one LP by them now, but I can never remember which one as they all seem a bit of a blur in my mind!!!
