Especially interesting I found Ziad Rahbani - Second Introduction (starting at 12.14). Intriguing music, only the laughter gets deeply irritating. Oddly enough, when I tried to get more information about the track, I stumbled upon a track with exactly the same name but a totally different one.

I can remember buying that twelve new, 1988, Selectadisc Nottingham... still sounds amazing..!
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

'The Hired Hand' soundtrack by Bruce Langhorne arrived today. First time on vinyl and hand numbered. I read somewhere that some of the money goes towards Bruce who is ill. It's a very beautiful album, about 23 minutes long, I found myself playing it three times in a row. It also reminds me of Scott Tuma's early solo albums.

Great stuff, I have the Blast First CD, will probably get this one, it's good that the artist gets something out of it.

I am mostly listening to ambient mixes from Love All Day 'cos I'm too hungover to listen to anything with a beat. Soothing. Ahhh...

Similar to Panabrite is Jürgen Müller & Pulse Emitter - put them in this mix (For Your Leisure) - but the real deal can be had from Aguirre Records in Belgium - spent a good part of the year rediscovering this type of music...

Been digging the Sufis LP a lot today - thanks to Sie-Fly for the tip off - his comparisons to early Floyd / July totally stand up!

On a more VG+ tip I've been loving 'Midnight Moogie' off a Harold Smart Ad-Rhythm LP I found today - bonkers!

glad you liking it Lee - Paperhead album on same label is great too - i've been digging the new Woods album 'bend beyond' .... lovely trippy psych sound - also Archaia off the NWW list - druggy madness and a limited repress - heavy and tough going but worth the effort !!

Bored at work. Simply typing psych funk into google has revealed this absolutely wonderful pod cast simply entitled "French psych funk". It's a real thing of beauty.

The Gaslamp Killer album. Proper heavy beats, love it. When did it come out..? I think it's new..?

Rediscovering "Wow" by Moby Grape, largely because I figured out how to listen to the 78rpm track after the locked groove on Side 1 (change speed using Audacity; not really worth it).

"Murder In My Heart For The Judge" is the standout.
