No, but I'd imagine you won't like it - which means you can trade it for something you do like. Result.

Nice on the Ram Jam Holder and the Nic Jones though!
We know when a mate buys it for you too.

Derek Sarjeant & Hazel King - Folk Matters - Assembly Records
Private UK folk, in a fairly trad vien, but still a nice listen.
Various Artists - Wild Style - Animal Records
The VHS & the LP in the space of a week This is spare if anyone needs it.
Francoise Hardy - En Anglais - United Artists UK
Fantastic LP - great take on the Kinks Who'll be the next in Line ++++
    Emitt Rhodes - S/T - Probe UK
    Nice sunshine pop LP
    Dave Burland - A Dalesman's Litany - Trailor
    Nice, if traditional Folk LP.
Sylvie Vartan - Sings LP - RCA -UK
Some great tracks on here, arrangements by Reg Guest & Art Greenslade

and assorted bits, sleeveless Enter the Dragon / Ralph McDonald 12". A few Kinks singles and the like. Not too bad.

that ram jam holder album is the dogs sloblock. some great lyrics. £15 was pretty cheap too.

Joromi was the name of Victor Uwaifo's big song so label will be named after that. This is all from memory rather than google checking but I think he designed Nigeria's only supercar which was exhibited at Harrods, he invented the double necked guitar, on the board of oxbridge biography thingummy, degree in engineering, full on renaissance man. However, my memory's rubbish so I may be thinking of someone else.

    Blo are superb!

Pickd up eight pieces of vinyl for a fiver from RareKind in Brighton -

Graham Nash - Wild Tales (Atlantic)
James Taylor - Walking Man (Warner Bros.)
Malcolm and Alwyn - Fools Wisdom (Pye)
    Illusion- Illusion (Island)
Rock Killough - Highway 31 (Elektra)
Various - The Most Collection Vol.2 (MFP)
Roger - Papas Got A brand New Bag (Reprise 12")
Mooncycl Makeba - The Gibbous (12" single)

Not heard them properly yet except for the makeba which is ace and the Roger take on the James Brown number.

    TOP FIND ROCKPROF !!!

An album I never tire of, glad to see it crop up on the board. Everyone knows Penguin eggs which is of course a lovely record, but for me his first four albums are better, achingly beautiful from start to finish.

I've picked the 'Anan water' track for a folk chart thread with sound, which I will get around to posting up soon, honest

    Very nice find, enjoy.

I really like the version of 'A Sailor's Life' on that LP. In fact it's rather nice all round.

Klaus Doldinger Quartet: Dig - sounded cool at a quick listen, the track Song For Delilah stood out and I'ma sucker for the Philips label
Four Tops: Still waters run deep - lovely classic Motown
Kid N Play: Do this my way 12" - mediocre 80s uptempo rap that i used to hate but now can't resist mainly because of the I'm coming drums
Peter Maxwell Davies: Missa Super L'Homme Armee - feat. Vaness Redgrave as the speaker - looked interesting
Blue Mink: Real Mink - think I had it once and kinda liked it
Mike Chung and the now generation: Breezing - lovely reggae version of the Bobby Womack smoothie

picked up some stuff i'm mildly pleased with today:
jose feliciano - a bag full of soul. never had any of his stuff before. this seemed like a good place to start. even has at least one tune i'd play out (as much as i hate always having 'will it play out well' in the back of my head when i look at stuff, its always nice to stumble upon stuff that will). which is nice. expensive charity pop at £1.50!
zygmunt jankowski - hammond pop party was expecting the usual hammond nonsense. was not dissapointed. but does have a version of je t'aime moi non plus that is quite groovy. also i like the yesterme yesteryou yesterday on it. nice surprise.
red balloon/maze of love - dave clarke five sorry but i forgot who posted this up on a chart for me to listen to and like, and eventually buy today. whoever it was, thanks!
give it to me/you're lying - the troggs
little girl/maybe the madman - the troggs
with a girl like you/i want you - the troggs
i'm liking the troggs at the moment. id forgotten they did plenty of other great stuff besides wild thing. maybe the madman stands out for me. some nice drums on a few of their tracks, if you like that kind of thing :-)

a few singles today, 2 for a euro, all pic sleeves.

Rafael martinez - bimbo estelár/ winds from spain (has 'sick ill dope' break)
Tony christie - Amarillo (yellow vinyl , couldn' t resist)
Sonny charles - it's alright in the city - nice slice of 1972 funky soul with a bit of hammond too - made my day this one.
The late show - the bristol stomp (shite 50's doo wop pastiche - can't win 'em all!)
geno washington - proud mary/stir it up
Monyaka - go deh yaka. had this years ago. 80s electro-soul-reggae crossover
Eirie thrasher - turn the beat around, lady bump
Mike theodore orch - high on the mountain, disco people
Difference - high fly, shake that groovy thing
elbow bones - night in NYC (prod. august darnell)
    Intruders -she's a winner, memories
    the marmalade
    - rainbow, ballad of cherry flavor (shite, acoustic)
Voggue (sic) - dancin the night away, roller boogie
wanted -cosmic gal, welcome to my house (japanese)

    and the LPs:

    Mike curb congregation
    -burning bridges (6€)
....and a few bargain 1€ bin VV specials:
various - happy party. Orch. Art miles, Ronny miller, Lee kirk, ray connell. some good stuff here, bit library esque, some more parpworthy stuff though. well worth a euro!
Hansi Last - beachparty - couldn't resist for a euro (happy brasilia)
Klaus W - sudamerica1. have only needle dropped this and it's a bit plop compared to the others I've heard in the series.
Pete tex - golden saxofon (polydor 1976) (has watermelon man so figuresd it was worth a punt for a euro)

edit. just given pete tex a listen and the last track (self penned) 'go man go' is a great rip off of the markeys' Last night!

A meagre haul through the post, but one I'm very, very pleased with.

Metro S/T (Qualiton) - Not the best quality copy, a bit of crackle, but a couple of absolute crackers on this. A slight punt as I only knew one song off it and the first side is by far the better, but there's enough on this to keep me very happy.

Omega - 10000 Lepes - 1982 reissue on RREM? Not the OG but an NM copy of a fantastic album nonetheless. Worth it for Keroeskezu favagok alone - killer flute and funky drums business, but it's an amazing album IMO and one not often mentioned round these parts it seems.

LGT S/T - Pepita. For all the LTG naysayers, this is a great LP. Groove-led rock (but indeed rock it is) with a touch of slide guitar here and a dab of sax there. It's not all good by any means, but far more consistent than any Skorpio LP I've ever heard (although it's an entirely different bag of bollocks).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWrxDOGkETg Go on... have a listen.

The 7s are that Tranko single that Pitch mentioned on a thread earlier this week (and which is indeed very very good), the new Yellow Moon Band single (ace) and an Illes single on Amiga, the best track of which is called Komm, geh mit mir and is a rather lovely sitar-led pop monster.

Looking forward to getting my hands dirty at Sunday's car boot.

Flea market and 1 shop found.

Milton Nascimento (odeon)- milton features the amazing para leenon e mccartney.

Gal Costa- 1969 LP 1st installment of gals wonderful psychedelic fuzz awesome condition best i've seen uk strong EX Brazilian NM

Lo Borges + milton- clube da esquina classic lp features cravo e canela and tudo que voce podia ser.

Luiz gonzaga jr- (RCA) i'm guessing this is the son of the accordion player, opening track is a wicked piece of jazz fusion.

Gilberto Gil-(philips) s/t top record with mutantes on there and the original of pega cabuelo (covered by os brazoes)

Tim Maia- melhor de (polydor) best of comp unfortunately no tracks from the mega rare racional lps, but it does have the boogie classic sete mares which I love. and plenty of stuff from 73 that has a racional sound to it. can't leave it behind for 30p, his original lps are expensive and hard to find here in any condition.

    Default Chazz "Funk"

You must get bored with all that latin, eh Leebrady?

3 Charity Jazz (Chazz) LPs on the top, mostly vocal with Tubby Hayes bonus

3 "Funky" one trackers, I think: Go, Bahia Soul & Shaft. There might be some more on the Kaempfert as I've noticed Herb Geller is on at least one. Edit: Yes it's all good esp. AckVon Rooyen on trumpet & Flugelhorn & the wordless female choir.

The Duke Grant has held it's 50p price

some stuff from the last few days:

all LP's (except the BERGENDY - traded wih board member lord No - cheers mate. lovely cover of the "witch") came from my uncle who was sellign his collection - a few quid each. amongst all the seals and croft rubbish were this lot in great condition. dead pleased with the minty UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - i'm currently enjoying the stills side of the "super sessions" LP.

    the 7's are:

FABIO FRIZZI - "Sanguelia" (long time want finally ticked off the list for £10 - its the main theme from the film "zombie flesh eaters" - i wont ever play it out and probably wont hardly listen to it but ive been after it for ages. my favourite ever piece of synthesised music. awesome stuff)
SLADE - "mama we're all crazee now"
NILUFER - "of aman aman" (weird turkish disco that is definitely cheesy but has that lovely, recognisably 70's turkish sound. couldnt leave it for only 50p!!)

Nice stuff ! That West Meets East is killer - esp. the track Menuhin composed.
