    Exclamation An apology of sorts

This may well serve to illustrate the perils of posting when half-cut on returning from a pleasant late afternoon spent in the pub, but what the hell.

Online forums are strange places and in many ways serve to both shape and distort and yet also to reflect the personalities of those who venture into them. Things get said and done in the heat of the moment - perhaps in jest, perhaps in bravado or bigging-up-of-oneself that really shouldn't ought to have never got said to begin with. Weird clicks emerge. Things get chippy. Sparks fly.

It has been brought to my attention - thanks Col - that I have excelled myself in the acting the prick routine of late and as such I thought it best to apologise to all those concerned (Boi Bach O Bethel in particular) who feel I have over-stepped, insulted, belittled, mocked, etc. of late.

I am not proud of myself and the mirror on reflection is not pretty.

The addictive qualities of the board have been having an unhealthy effect on me; I spent far too much time flicking idly round when I really should be working and as a result end up posting far too much shite for my own - and certainly for your - good!

I shall henceforth resolve to try and keep my filthy snout somewhat cleaner, my morals somewhat less loose and my insults somewhat less frequent.

I'd like to promise I shall ensure my posts are strictly of a musical nature only, but I know myself too well to make vain promises.

    So it goes.

can't remember the book... but Eddie "lockjaw" harris said he was given the mantle as band enforcer during jam sessions to kick off poor players.

he said... (insert adverb of choice)

I'd like to join the apologists for not posting a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to all the VeeGee's who've had a birthday over the last couple weeks.

There were too many at once and I was too lazy.

A click is a group of people that get on well together; a clique is similar but tends to have an element of exclusivity or a set of formal standards / rules.

I can picture you now on your throne of skulls, Hugh. Incidentally, Siberia is a massive place - I'm sure you could expand your pockets of despotism without much trouble.

My reflections in praise of a man who can examine his conscience and proffer an apology does not require any form of photographic illustration.

    Ah right... understood.

Some of the 'disagreements' on the board in recent months (Select45 thread etc..) have thrown up questions about how far you can allow a thread to run before locking it or just removing it.

We try not to hack people off but you can't please all the people etc..

    :
I'd suggest "before I find a picture of Phil Collins in the nude" answers one of those questions to everyone's satisfaction.
