I'll be limping up to London to do a Brillo / ILN double-header - looks like the ILN could well be a goodie; what with Beijing punk rockers Brain Failure warming up for Pitch, Filthy Rich et al.

Any other Brizzle heads going to make the pilgrimage to the ICA ?

I might bring a few friends and pop in to say hello, funds permitting of course. I've just quit my job, so I can totally justify a celebratory drink.

I did, yeah. I'm sure you lot wouldn't be caught dead in my neck of the woods. Although, actually, I did mention your name to a local DJ recently re. the night you put on at the Thekla, and he asked me to cover his sets purely on the strength of that. It seems as though you're something of an institution in these parts!

I've been to The Bell in Bath many times as I've friends there. Mostly to check out my mates band when he did a gig. Just up the road from Nashers record shop which is now closed sadly, got a large haul of library LP's from there once(4 trips to the car and back worth ) he was doing a deal on bulk. Spent a whole night skipping through library LP's while the owner sat in the Bell, still wasn't enough time to sort the wheat from the chaff., I ended up with more chaff then wheat.

Do you go to "Sonic Sanctuary" Suze ? Not far from Bath and good local bands on.

My old band did a live gig here. Last one I ever did as well.

I'm having a Hugh 'Beatpack' moment now

Sermad and I spent most of a day going through those when he first got them in - and ended up sorting the good ones for him, then hardly buying any. (I want 100 for that one, 250 for that one, 100 for that one...)

He certainly wasn't doing deals on bulk to start with!

A bit galling, especially as he told us he got the whole roomful for 200 quid!

Is that the same place you were telling me had a copy of Reggae for Real that fell behind a hot radiator?

Yep. Nasher decided to keep that one, but accidentally lent it against a radiator before he could take it home.

Have I mentioned that I used to be in a band that never played in Bristol?
    Or Bath?

    Photos are available.

Always got some good stuff from his £1 boxes - best being OG of George Harrison 'Wonderwall', load of Saga label stuff....found Dan Smith's 'God Is Good' in there as well "we have seen the enemy and they are us" !...he flogged me Watch Out Kids by Mick Farren for a fair price as well....always had a few amusing Bath hippy stories.....
