Default Les Stances A Sophie - the film

Good afternoon. I have a question. Has anyone see the film "Les Stances A Sophie"? If so, is it something they would recommend? Sounds Of The Universe have released it on DVD and I am tempted to buy it blind, so to speak. I always wondered about the film, since picking up the soundtrack many years ago, and would appreciate any feedback.

    Thank you.

    ...and heres some New Edition

    There's a review here.

Look a bit dull, really. No fannies like two sperm whales swimming down the Seine, it would appear.

I was wondering the same thing with "Woman is Sweeter". I know the music by Galt Macdermot but I dont think I know anyone who has seen the film.

    What's it like?

    Thanks in advance,

mmm, the Jarman/ AECO doc that comes with it sounds a worthy investment. still, it's not the original sleeve

Is it true the AEOC appear in the film, in a club scene as patrons? I heard somewhere Joseph Jarman has some dialogue.

If you like your films to have computer generated special effects, guns, explosions, monsters and aliens then you will be disappointed. If you like French films in general, arthouse, kitchen sink and drama then you'll be happy. I saw it last week and I am of the latter opinion when it comes to films - this one is a good un.
