Nobody seems to have seen this in the snippets section...
Sorry Mods, but I thought I'd increase my chances of finally finding out more by posting here aswell...
Okay finally pulled my finger out and got round to getting this snippet from a Jazzman Gerald mix tape from ages ago that I need ID'ed...
It comes from a mix Gerald did called: Acid Jazz Grooves, subtitled 60's/70's Funky jazz Grooves, 90 mins of late night jammin'...
I picked it up at the Camden market sometime in the early 1990's
Side one
Romano Mussolini - Blues for Alexandra
Lou Donaldson - Snakebone
Preston Love - Chili Mac
Jimmy Smith - Can't get enough
Lonnie Smith - Dancin' in an easy groove
Hugh Brodie - Cornbread and beans
Nathan Davis - Tragic magic
Then there's this little uncredited snippet at the end of side one
Side two
Hilton Felton - Spreading fever
Harold Ousley - Little virgo
Sarah Webster Fabio - Jujus
Houston Person - Pain
Jimmy Smith - Root down
George Freeman - The Bump
Needless to say I'd love to know who it is, what the name of the track is, if it's a 45 or album track and if anyone knows where I can get a copy.
It is a top comp and turned me on to a lot of things - Thanks Gerald.
Here's hoping, Gerald - are you out there?
