Done it a few times, if you look on your statement you will have an IBAN (International Bank Account Number) that he will also need. Great way of doing business and the money is normally in within 3 days. Your bank will send you a separate statement with the IBAN details on it.

    www.discogs.com

done ok myself on there, loads less hassle than eBay although the record needs to be listed on there before you can sell it (you can contribute listings yourself)

Ah right know what it is now, maybe a Gemm account is easier or maybe they will just sit in the boxes gathering dust as I'm too bone idle outside Set Sale lists

    Yo Ben!

Aint nothing wrong with IBAN, good way of getting your cash and it's easy for the rest of Europe. I think it costs us a wack though to do this the other way around, not sure? PM me anyhow when you're next down, havent seen you or G for time!

i've come across this before too - again, only from german buyers. i spoke to a friend of mine there and he explained that german people don't really get with paypal so transfers like this are their preferred method of transaction

As Beaver and others have said, IBAN is the way forward - done this a couple of times with Discogs buyers (mostly Germans) and all has been fine. I have a Euro account too, which avoids at least one currency conversion in the process

I've had sellers in German doing this the other way round too and only accepting payment by bank transfer, which then incurs a £6 charge from the Swiss Post. Admittedly my fault for not checking that they take paypal but still quite frustrating.
