    Default African Serenades blog

it vanished ages ago, and ive meandered around the web looking for it, to no avail.

i wondered if any of you fine folks out there had any of the mp3 mixes that they did.

I've got Volume 28, and am happy to upload/ share.

    anyone?

Oh lawdy ... going weak at the knees at the prospect of those! Incidentally, might be worth posting on Africambiance as well. I'm sure some of the good people on there would have the Zairean stuff at least.

Gareth, are you willing/ able to share any of these? I've got the Vol 28 (by Cheeku) uploaded and ready to go. I'm sure there's other stuff you might like as well.

I'd be keen to hear any that you can share, Serenades 14, 29, 30 and 31 would probably be top of the list.

    hell all of them

    PMs from here?

I used to chat to 'Cheeku' on SoulSeek. I invited him to Waxidermy when there was that old thread on African Lps, he shared a bit, but I don't think he stuck around for too long though.

I don't use soulseek much anymore but I wouldn't be surprised if you find him, or a least several of the mixes, on there.

excellent, thanks. can't see a problem with links to the files. we can always slide it into the "charts and reviews" section if we end up with lots of response...

    fellow modz, thoughts?

File appears to have expired for Vol 43, but I've got it if anyone wants it.

It's got Amadou Balake's Whiskey et Coca Cola on and is great.

what a lovely man you are.

btw, Matsuli's uploaded a bit of a SA Jazz grail to his blog, for those who care for such things.
