This weekend I found out that I am an arsehole who can no longer really do 15-hour binges whilst retaining much self-respect, integrity or coherence.
I think I bought some records as well, but Emperor Tomato Ketchup has them!

Up The Junction OST - OG in VG+ nick. Sleeve not so good but I can live with it.
The Georgie Fame LP rocks. Been after it for a while.
Forever Changes is the 1971 repress.
The stall is more like a record fair with good quality gear at mostly book or approaching book prices.
That's the guy. Said he'll probably be in Fairyhouse next weekend and probably in Kilkenny in four weeks time. Quite a few good records but most were outside my budget range and some were definitely overpriced. I got in fairly late so didn't have a chance to fully check the other stalls but from what I could see, no one else was selling records.
not much for me really, did 5 boots over the weekend.
did get an original pentangle cruel sister gatefold
black sabbath vol 4 swirly and
cream wheels of fire, all mint records, covers a bit worn though.
so i have a reprise version of the pentangle lp if anyone wants to trade?
Pretty poor pickings for me just lately. I seem to be suffering from that "it's a f*****g car boot missus" feeling a bit. Vastly overpriced stock (Elvis LP super TRASHED £60!!!) and overinflated ego's "they wouldn't walk into Debenhams and haggle over the price" - both of you "it's a f*****g car boot!!!!"
Charity shops chucked these out so I shouldn't complain really. All in superb condition.
Hair in Loughborough, Carmen £3 in Derby! and Timoneers in Burton.
And don't get me started on the prices upstairs at Derby Guildhall thingy...
im knackerd..been to about 7 boot fairs in the last 2 days

What's the Concord 45?
We know when a mate buys it for you too.
Not from the weekend reallyMe and Mr Divine went to look at a mutual acquaintance's collection which they were selling part of in preparation for doing some travelling - he's got some great records and not everything was for sale (I still want those Beatstalkers 45s
) but we had a great time wading through the boxes (and boxes) of stuff and deals were struck!
Mostly 45s
Top picks:
I don't know much about this but seemed like nice popsike
*edit* had a proper listen now - b side is excellent and, it would seem, sought after:
Proper ska on here
*edit* talking bollocks here too - it's a nice slow and low reggae side with excellent mouth organ.
Happy to get this on a 45
nice groovy mod psych dancer on here
A VV classic
Anyone know anything about this? Kind of now sound thing with parping and fuzz guitar - very good - sounds like Syd Dale in disguise?
more JA niceness
Another REALLY nice to have 45
Drug addicts beware this cautionary tale!
A few long players too
and finally this off the 'bay - never knew there was a 45 of this!

Instant Zappa collection !
and some more ...
... Zappa
King Curtis Eternally Soul ... R&B stuff with a nice nice groove
Philip Glass Music in Twelve parts 1&2 ... Minimal Music at his best
James Brown Reality ... Spare
Pooh Viva ... It's Disco, Band is on Popsike, there are Jap cd re-issues and it's boring
Warren Kime Dynamic Brass Impact ... Great Stuff
Artie Shroeck A Spoonful of Lovin' ... Nice instrumental version of "Summer in the City"
5 Stairsteps & Cubie Love's Happening ... Rare soul album on Curtom
Brighthouse & Rastrick Band Floral Dance ... Brass Band, boring version of "the Theme of Shaft",![]()
Harvey Mandel The Snake ... Trippy guitar mixed with jazz influences, Charles Lloyd on flute
Harvey Mandel Baby Batter ... Funky guitar, similar to some of Dennis Coffey's early work
After hearing this two I will definitely be after Cristo Redentor... how are his others? See a big list on allmusic.com
1968 Cristo Redentor
1969 Righteous
1970 Games Guitars Play
1971 Baby Batter
1971 Electronic Progress
1972 Get Off in Chicago

Shangrenade was rather unexceptional as I recall.
Baby Batter and Cristo Redentor are the bestest, I've been informed.
a few wirral chazzers and booters yielded:
Donny osmond - disco donny. This has some absolute stonkers on, mike curb really delivers some funky arrangements here - worthy of any mandingo LP! Especially pleased as I wasn't expecting osmonds-type funkiness on this 1976 lp.
Sinatra and company - Deodato etc. Only had this on an 8- track tape until now! sadly disocvered an edge warp when I got it home - right on 'agua de beber' toonever mind only 75p down.
Top Of the Pops vol. 27. Passable version of Avenues and alleyways
Robert wyatt - nothing can stop us. Great album, Nice to have his version of strange fruit
Frankie valli /4 seasons greatest - double, includes all the classics and beggin'
wilton felder - we all have a star. not played, has the other crusaders guesting tho'.
Steve Vai - Flexable. 'Little green men' is pure upbeat zappa!
Terry wallace - moog superstar. Bears little resemblance to the original recording which is probably for the best. real moog madness, at times far-out and also groovy at others.
Quincy jones - the dude. Had a soft spot for this album, decent 80s soul-funk....An album that even your vinyl-hating woman is going to like.
James last band - thats life. swingin' version of go away little girl
Dewolfe - synthesis. A few easy moments but a case of 'Too much catgut'
also : the roberto delgado Lp with 'the mosquito' on, an Art blakey Lp on vogue, with 'scotch blues' on, and two unremarkable DJM Harry stoneham LPs - 'shadow of your smile' and 'this is stoneham' I think.
singles
Mcnee and blackman - kinky boots. couldn't leave this slice of 60s cheese.
ken cope - why am I so shy. ditto, complete with amusing non- pc scouse references to females.
nashville teens - tobacco road (spare). possibly the loudest 45 I own!
Pussycat - do it. VV classic discussed recently.
"THIS IS A FINE TAPE AND BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF YESTERYEAR WHEN THE MUSIC WORLD WAS GOOD AND NOT FOULED UP BY THE LONG HAIR SCURVES WHO JUST BEAT WILDLY ON ANYTHING AND COME UP WITH A LOT OF STUPID NOISE THat only damnfools and liars say they like it"
Just found a stone-mint Ramases - Space Hymns in a charity shop with the card Roger Dean fold-out cover etc... but the label is not the swirly one.So.......
How much is it worth? Have I wasted my 50p? How much can I get for it? Where can I sell it? How fast can I sell it? Will it clear my mortgage? Why is it worth a lot/ not worth much
and who's to blame?
Whaddya mean 'not in the spirit of the board?'
Mods!!!!
Oh and an Aphrodites Child 666 mint too. And a 1964 Rolling Stones EP. And two Sesame Street singles. And I wasn't even going to go in the bloody charity shop. That's just how it is somedays aint it.
Listen to it, you great buffoon! It took me a while to get into it but 'Life Child' is excellent, as is 'Hello Mister' and so on...
I didn't realise the spaceship issues came in a fold-out sleeve? In my experience a VG record should cost you 10p and a VG sleeve should cost approximately £3. A custom made sleeve by the child of the previous owner is priceless, however.
Keep it and enjoy it. Please.![]()
You freeking scientologists are all the same, quible, dribble and then demand ice creams. Ohhhhhhhhhhh.
