there are a couple of subtle changes with those on the original CD.

31 out of 33 tracks come across. Goofy (hidden on original) now on disc 2.

    omitted
7: Watch (Prima Ballerina). This is on Watch With Teacher anyway.
8: The Jimmy Young Programme (Town Talk).
19: A Question of Sport (Tio Pepe)

Yes - got both of those delived last week...there is a sort of duelling synth bleep / orch track I really like...can't remember which one it's one.

I was laid up with a slipped disk last week so these helped pass the painful time.

There IS an extra CD with 33 tracks, making total 66 - so I'm not too fussed about 3 being missing. I'm certainly NOT about to drop a ton on an OG!!!! Although I have to admit, I was finding listening to this in a one-r a bit.... intense!

Is this CD actually any good? Most comps of vintage cult TV theme music I've had have been more cheese and crap then killer weirdness. If it is good I'm sure I would enjoy it but I am wary.
Enthusiastic vagueness passes for scholarship in the twilight world of the disc-jockey.

It is good...there are some great tracks on it...I wasn't as keen as the watch with teacher one but I need to wade through both disks of that.

yeah, the second CD is pretty decent too. It was just a little puzzling to see those amendments although I am sure there were genuine reasons.

the price of the OG dropped by about one third [some down to around £35 - £40] after the reissue was announced - not sure if it has since risen

Mark - it's by far the best WHR release and a great listen. Some very good choices and a lot of themes won't be overly familiar - in the sense that you might remember 'em vaguely but they won't be ingrained on your mind deck like other tv tunes.

The WHR (Winchester Hospital Radio) releases are generally very good quality. They're compiled for the enthusiast, rather than for the dancefloor. But that still hits the spot for quite a few of us here!

I listened to the first disk of GIAS a lot last night and really enjoyed it...in particular the track used for the ITV sit com 'Never the Twain'.

It's a really good track and brought back a few fuzzy memories of this god awful programme. All I can remember is some poor titles with picture frames in and irate rival neighbours pushing each other into swimming pools or something.

Not sure if that ever actually happened.

This piece of crap lasted for 11 series!
