The fab Design Museum in London is having a Saul Bass on Film exhibition.
To say the mans work is iconic is an understatement. From July 17th-10th October. Should be a nice.
.....also looking forward to seeing the catalogue, curated by Mr. Divines brother no less.
Great stuff... Has anyone seen the tribute to him in the opening titles of Almodovar's 'Bad Education'? Spot on...

chance for another plug from me . . .
. . . The same team who brought you 'Point 2 Point' at the Big Chill last year ( 'Vanshing Point vs 'Zabriskie Point' ) bring you 'Bug Planet' [ This Sunday at Ashton Court Festival, Bristol, 7pm ] a vj piece using 'Phase VI' and 'Microcosmos: Le peuple de l'herbe' and others . . .
'Phase VI' was Saul Bass' 1973 directorial debut, a strange horror/sci-fi about a colony of intelligent ants. It was also written by someone called 'Mayo Simon' !

the desing museum is a great building (and nice location) but if found the permanent collection being a bit disapointing for London standards...
Let hope these kinds of exhibitions will change that ...
