Here are todays charity finds ,some nice bits and bobs:

The New Birth - Patiently / Comin' from all Ends (7in)
Supreme Team - Buffalao Girls (7in)

Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass - The Jazz Album - The track That's Right is 11:30 mins of funky jazz.

Paul Kuhn -Berlin Big Band - Pants!!

Daly Wilson - Australia 77 - Some great versions on here of 6 Million Dollar Man, Super Strut, Theme from Policewoman and Theme from Swat. (Double)

Daly Wilson - Featuring Marcia Hines - Again some great covers inc. Rockford Files, Chameleon and El Boro. (Double)

Ramsey Lewis - Hang On Ramsey - A little early to be really funky but still a good, all round lp.

Chico Arnez - New Sounds - Probably the most consistent lopez release with two or three worthwhile tracks. (Double)

Sarah Winton - You Can't Keep a Good Woman Down - I looked for this for ages after hearing the track Summer Brass on Giles P show many years ago. Finally found my own copy now have a double aswell.

All Star Big Band - Jazz Gala 77 - Peter Herbolzheimer and practically every other Euro jazz great get together for this lp. Great versions of Corean Chic and Hip Walk.

Redifussion - Stereo Sampler - Sort of Soul, umpteenth copy!!

Soul Sensation - Do you Wanna Dance - Not to this crap I don't!!

Ray Ellington -Shake and Smooch! - Great version of the lounge classic House of Bamboo along with a few other interesting tracks. (Double)

5th Dimension - Dimension 5 - Usual fare from these guys, nothing spectacular but hard to fault their overall sound.

Patsy Gallant - Will You Give me Your Love - Really nice modern jazz vocal lp particularly on the track Back to the City.

The Bobby Sutton Sound - The Sweet Beat - On the Ace of Clubs label which has thrown up some gems, this is a little too smooth for my liking.

Les Humphries Singers - Sound 74 - Most of this is Glam Rock crap, there are however a couple of coll tracks inc. Busy Cat.

Jo Ments Happy Sound - Happyment - Mainly junk, couple of OK moments.

Roberto Delgado - Very Best of - Liquadator is the best track.

Andy Ross and his Orch - Pop Singalong - Great version of Lucretia MacEvil, are there any bad versions of this song??

Leo Muller - Soul Hits - Cyclone Blues does it for me everytime (Double)

Big Jim H - Hammond Hits - Jungle Fever (again umpteenth copy)

Button Down Brass - This Giys in Love - Son of Hickory Holler Tramp is the best track on here.

Doug Carn - Spirit of the new Land - I absoloutley love this sort of thing, great vocals and fantastic spiritual jazz.

Gap Mangione - and the Kids call it Boogie - Love J, A.M. is the one.

Stovall Sisters - S/T(Sealed) - Hang on in There is a stone cold classic!!

See everyone at the Salmon on Monday
