Next week I think.
This time all the restaurants are in one location (Bristol I've been told) and so vying for the same business.
Different format too – just the one show each week.
As for the Cube suggestion, I don't have a hotline to producers, but I can certainly pass it on the the respective PR... There could be some legal wrangles to sort first.

anyone see the Al Bowlly doc last night on BBC4? pretty good i thought, didn't know much about the chap before hand
I watched Panorama last night about 2 reporters posing as a Musilim couple and living in Southmead (Bristol council estate) for a week. The amount of racial abuse they recieved was pretty shocking, mostly from young chavs.
I must say that if some freakbeater or longhair took a stride around Southmead you would probably get the same hassle as its pretty rough and dire there.
I watched that too - shocking - but then if you put people amongst the most ignorant and uneducated people in Britain you will get ignorant and uneducated attitudes, as well the BBC know. It might have made for a more incisive programme if the reporters went to somewhere more affluent and saw what happened there.
God that's an annoying film - I could barely force myself to watch it to the end. Branded to Kill is definitely miles better.Ha! after some debate with a friend of mine, on Saturday night, we watched "Tokyo Drifter".
Watched Carmelo Bene's take on Salome last week as well as Szulkin's Golem - both well worth checking out.

'Inseminoid' from the mighty Norman J. Warren.
"A group of scientists are working in a lab located on a distant planet. One of them, Sandy, is attacked, raped and impregnated by a monstrous creature. She then begins to stalk her colleagues one by one, killing them and drinking their blood".
Not actually as unpleasant as it might sound, and starring Judy Geeson and Stephanie Beacham this answers the question, 'what if we remade Alien at Cheddar Gorge for £250'...![]()
Attention!!! I know this is a very expensive Price for the record. This i one of my most beloved Records, so my primary intention isn't the selling. I like it in my collection. I only will sell it, if someone wants it that much, that he is willing to pay that much money. Therefore the unrealistic price. Please don't tell me about it. I don't want to cheat ,I don't force someone into buying it, I don't want to drive up the price. Thanks for understanding
Anyone know the Italian Alien rip off Contamination? its on here this weekend as part of the annual Horrorthon, though it is being shown at 10.30pm by which time I should be in a room drinking and watching people play little records.
I've been working my way through a Fawlty Towers box set. I know it well but its still great.
Enthusiastic vagueness passes for scholarship in the twilight world of the disc-jockey.
John Peel
I got WAZ out of the video shop because I've got a bit of a thing for Selma Blair.
what a load of WAZ
at least the tortures in SAW etc are sometimes a bit original. My worst torture would be to be hung upside down and have maggots dropped into your nostrils. They would then eat your brain from inside.
Bollocks in a mincer is another good one.

I’ve been on a bit of an Adam Curtis kick, watching ‘The Trap’, ‘The Living Dead’ and ‘It Felt Like A Kiss’ in recent days. I love the way he connects footnotes in history to create a feeling of foreboding / sinister cosmic ordering. His programmes also make me realise that my usual viewing choices are pretty undemanding and conciliatory. His style reminds me a lot of Ken Hollings, whose ‘Welcome to Mars’ Resonance FM radio series I would also highly recommend.
Finally went to the film society in Bedford on Monday to watch Gomorrah. Very intense, gritty film about organised crime in Italy.
So nice to watch an intelligent, non-blockbuster film on a big screen in Bedford for £3. Also nice that it was full and is apparently busy twice a week for the whole season, restores your faith in a town that didn't even show This is England at the multiplex![]()
Been on a 'New Hollywood' binge the last couple weeks. Revisited French Connection 1+2 and Taxi Driver. So rewarding to revisit such powerful work after a while. The cold turkey scene in FC2 is of course incredible, the baseball bit with the chicken leg as bat is great!
Also saw Deliverance for the first time. Amazing. Like the unsettling mood, all the symbolism and the ambiguous story. When they shoot the rapiost with the bow and arrow is RAW!

You have to draw the line about spoilers, though - 'Deliverance' came out in 1972.

Thanks for bodyguarding me, Gingham
On the other hand, it would be pretty cool to rewatch Deliverance and be surprised to see the bow and arrow killing![]()
Exactly. I've never seen it.![]()
You freeking scientologists are all the same, quible, dribble and then demand ice creams. Ohhhhhhhhhhh.

The saddest bit is when the raccoon dies. He was such a friendly, mischievous little fella.
