No I vaguely remember a Bleep email last year. Just listening to some sound clips sounds right up my street. Is the whole album just Synthi?

Was recommended two horror films. Folk Horror 'The Witch' which I didn't rate and 80's throwback horror 'The Void' which was a crap cross between The Thing, From Beyond and Re-Animator with none of the originality, humour, special fx and storyline of any of them, terrible.

Watched Julian Barratt's movie 'Mindhorn' last night which is a bit Garth Merenghi meets Toast of London but it was very funny. Available via Netflix who must have financed it I guess.

Ouch, both have been rated here as decent current contributions.

Watched the documentary '42nd Street Memories' on DVD. 70 minutes of talking heads telling the story of the notorious 42nd Street grindhouse movie theatres. It was interesting and entertaining if not that mindblowing visually.

    Comes on this cheap DVD.

I was put onto them via twitter but if I had to pick what was the better film I'd go with 'The Witch' the other one truly terrible only IMHO of course.

Hoping it will be as good as the last one...

I have been enjoying Detectorists series 1 all over again on BBC2. Just as good second time around. The gentleness of it just washes over me and I feel so much better after watching it (even if I felt Ok with everything before I watched it).

Steptoe & Son is something I can watch again and again. Detectorists will match it I think.

And there is a Series 3 to look forward to later in the year

Twin Peaks series 3 - I'm up to episode 3 so far - David Lynch still has it...

Amazing track at the end of this episode too:

I love the Count too. The humour is pretty broad but I like the way everything is set up well in advance so the whole thing can come together later on.

Watched "Shadows Of Forgotten Ancestors" dir. Sergei Parajanov, 1965. Holy moly, one intense film with wild visuals centered on Ukranian traditions, including brain-bending ethno (sic) music throughout.

    Sample:

I am up for more Parajnov.
