Yup – we’re back (again)!
Saturday the 22nd of May at Nobles bar in Leith - 44a Constitution Street, EH6 6RS http://www.list.co.uk/place/12677-nobles-bar/
Just as we thought we had resurrected Eclectic Mud at the Southern – the Council Noise pollution squad put the squeeze on them, and banned them from having DJ’s and live music.
Shed not a tear for it was a poor imitation of its former self anyway, however there’s a very welcome injection of adrenalin at Nobles… under new management and with ambitions to become a ‘music’ pub this proper boozer is to be given a new lease of life.
The Eclectic Mud DJ’s have been invited to provide musical entertainment this coming Saturday night along with a live band.
Your spider senses might be telling you at this point that this seems all a bit last minute, and you’d be right… But hey, it’s free, we’re playing records and the band (whom I admittedly know little about) will have at least two members of Aberfeldy in it – so you know the musicianship will be high. What’s not to like?
With any luck and some attendance, this could develop in to a regular night…
That said it could be that last time we play for another few months – It be great to see you & spread the word and bring yer mates.
It goes with out saying Lee and I have lashings of lovely new tunes to unleash on your ears, personally sourced from such exotic locations as London, Amsterdam, Canada, the Christian Aid Book fair and errr… Oban.
This might help explain to the uninitiated what to expect… http://www.myspace.com/eclecticmud
Cheers
Fuz ‘n’ Lee

Djing from 8ish until 10 and 11 until close at 1, with the band in between.
"The Set Up are an Edinburgh based quartet, blending blues, folk and rock with their signature three-part harmonies. Austen George is the singer-songwriter and lead guitarist. Lewis Rosa is on backing vocal and bass. Murray Briggs on drums. The band has recently been augmented by Gus Carruthers on guitar and vocals. With a focus on signature hooks, memorable riffs and powerful three-part harmonies, The Set Up weave electric guitar, acoustic and piano based songs to produce raw, emotive music."
