"Not only that but the WHOLE COVER is UNCREASED with only 2 or 3 TINY creaselines near the opening edge about half way down!!!! In the same place (about half way down the opening edge), there is an absolutely TINY and PERFECTLY repaired split" (xxxrecords)
Fantastic.

Thats odd it's working now for some strange reason. Great footage, great quality too, thanks for sharing mate.
Nice one Joe.
Had no idea this existed.
Was that France Gall dancing (badly)?
Brilliant find.
And yes, that certainly is Mademoiselle Gall.
Awesome!!!
France Gall does a good job dancing the mod psych dance i think but in the end I would choose the cute girl with the boyish mod cut cause you know what they say beauty doesn't last but a smile does indeed. plus she seems to be more girlfriend material.
Wow!![]()
after I posted this I checked the guys other videos...totally blown away by the Lord Sutch live footage from '66...holy cow!

great vids
AMAZING footage. I'd love to see the whole programme, given the teasing snippets of "Teenie Weenie Boppie" and "Comic Strip"...

One of my favorite bands from this era. I bought the "Tangerine Dream" reissue on Five Hours Back when it was being played in Newbury Comics in Harvard Square. I hadn't heard the band before.
The clerk handed it to me and said something about it not sounding anything like any of their other stuff.
He thought it was an early incarnation of the German Tangerine Dream. I didn't say anything to let him know otherwise.
That would have been some evolution in sound.
Not as rare - but what the Sam Hill is happening in this Traffic video ?

Thanks Joe, great stuff indeed (even if it did bum my pc out for awhile!) - btw the blonde in the white boots we see from behind just before the second song looks suspiciously like Sylvie Vartan.
It's from the French show 'Le Petit Dimanche Illustre', which, if you put it in the Youtube search turns up film of Johnny Hallyday in San Francisco, Jimi Hendrix & The Experience mooching around a Parisien market to the sound of 'Burning Of The Midnight Lamp' and, just so you're absolutely certain it's 1967, (colour!) footage of Salvador Dali turning up with his girl(?)friend/muse Amanda Lear and spouting much stuff and nonsense.
Serge Gainsbourg definitely appeared on the show on 22/11/67, where he sang 'Ah ! Si Vous Connaissiez Ma Poule' - so this may date it, but I imagine he appeared more than once so it's not certain. The second channel in France first broadcast in colour 01/10/67 and so perhaps the Kaleidoscope footage might have been originally been in colour if the Serge Gainsbourg date is the same show (a big 'if' admittedly.)
Still can't identify the short haired brunette - but I know a man who might be able to - I'll keep you posted!

*EDIT* - No, I'm wrong - the blonde in the white boots is in fact Mireille Darc and, if Ina.fr is to be believed, the date is 22/10/67 - the proof is here! (plus a few more clips from the show)
