Default NRR - Famous Ghosts of London

I'm currently doing some artwork for a new poster and need some inspiration - any ideas?

I've got a few but they're predominantly based around South London where I grew up and a few obvious characters that I've taken some artistic licence with and turned into ghosts - Jack the Ripper for example.

Guy Fawkes - Jack The Hat McVitie - Jack Sheppard - Ann Boleyn - Graham Bond - Jean Charles de Menezes...
    Island of Terror
    Mounds and Circles

Some days are quite boring, today is one of them.

    Ta Paul!

Got Anne Boleyn and Guy Fawkes. I'll investigate the others.

Arsenal's ghost defence, against West Brom, this past Saturday .

Should really have found myself something better to do than occupy a seat in the Clock End next to some ecstatic Baggies on Saturday afternoon. Painful.

I used to work for the Revenue and, for a while, was based in Bush House. Seem to remember someone telling me about some apparition walking the corridors of Somerset House. More a well known location than a famous ghost but might be worth looking into.

If you were gonna be a little bit specific where would you say Jack McVitie haunts? The East End? Stoke Newington where he came a cropper? Prolly to posh for him these days...

Oh, if you meant literal ghosts then I dunno, my ghosts are more figurative.

A little late for that my friend!

I liked what I read about Graham Bond so I've taken a little poetic licence and made him a ghost - same Joe Meek. All that witchcraft must lend some weight to ghost theories...

Jack 'The Hat' McVitie may lose his position yet.

This was nothing but a rough idea this time yesterday - some 24 hours I'm ready to make the yearly Print Club Poster Show submission by the skin of my teeth.

I'm tired and seeing ghosts all about me.

Here's a wee taster - need to tidy up my swirly borders but Illustrator keeps dying on me - bastid.

Great stuff. Your skillz are strong. Just for future reference, I don't do much research - I just chuck it all out there.

this old pub is supposed to be haunted (good boozer by the way, tucked away down a little mews). met my bro there one night for a quiet pint. didn't know about the ghostliness. he's sitting in front of a dark doorway at the back, we're nattering, then this big wisp of smoke appears from out of nowhere in the middle of the empty doorway. woo.
