Default Edinburgh 9th Oct : Eclectic Mud @ Nobles Bar, Constitution Street Leith

Eclectic Mud returns (again ) and this time it should be sticking around!

    www.myspace.com/eclecticmud

After being thrown out of our first venue and closed down by the council noise police at the second, we're hoping it's third time lucky !

Lee (LDJB) and I will be playing a mixture of old favourites and new arrivals for punters at Nobles bar in Leith on Saturday Oct 9th, and on the second Saturday of every month from now on.

To celebrate our return we'll be joined on the decks by Radio Scotlands Vic Galloway.

    Nobles bar - 44a Constitution Street, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 6RS www.noblesbarleith.co.uk

It's FREE to get into and runs from 8pm-ish until closing time at 1am.

"At our nights Acid Folk sits alongside Funk, Psych walks hand in hand with Latin Music, Rock rolls with Reggae, Prog pogo's with Punk, Jazz jives with Krautrock, Steelband music shimmies with the Electric Blues, Exotica whispers in the ear of Pop music, Space Aged Bachelor Pad music gets it on with Eastern Bloc Rock, Country music snogs Ska, Early Electronic music bleeps Soul, and Soundtracks and Beat music share a taxi home together..."

It would be grand to see any familiar VV / VG+ faces...

See you there and bring yer pals.

Twitter / Myspace / facebook remix:

We're back monthly from 9th of October 8pm - 1am in the superb surroundings of Nobles bar 44a Constitution Street Leith. For our first regular night we have 'Radio 1s' Mr Vic Galloway along for the ride - we're taking him out of his comfort zone and making him comply with our strict (but only) rule of all original vinyl - last time he guested was a blast, both in sonic and social terms!

We're a bit nervous about this new kick off so it would be great to see you all down there on the night - me and Fuz also have a stockpile of great tunes to be played out which range from Delia Derbyshire electronic squigglery, Latin Psych instrumentals, obscure but brilliant New Wave 45 b sides right through to damaged SSW loner folk funk....and all points in between.

I've just twigged that you do Project Moonbase! Love the show, listen to it a fair amount: it eases me through my design briefs. Good work and good luck with the night.

Thanks sir! To be honest my involvement has diminished in recent times for geographical reasons - but still a great show!

Robbie (who posts on here infrequently) and Andy do a great job.
