No library give-aways here (althought there are still about 150+ in the shed), just this smooth reggae groover to get my month started in a great stylee...

"Sometimes I get a hot ear..."
Went diggin w my brother who's visiting and he pulled this which sounds pretty VG-licious. I'll try and get it off him

I've been after one of them for a while too - great version of 'music talk' on it!
"..hole...road...middle thereof"
Traded me some cool Japan jazz, this here is my favourite
spiritual jazz with bamboo-flute http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRwEXah_bpM
I also finally found me a cheap Jimmy Smith - Root down, that I've been looking for for ages

"Sometimes I get a hot ear..."
I'm still hoping to pull it out of some thriftshop or bootsale crate where all records are less than £4 each...
It could happen...
I waited 5+ years for Fantastic Party, and had already given up when it happened 3 times in one year. (Surplus copies not with me any longer - search Scotland).
So maybe I will soon give up and strike luck?
Had a lovely day visiting various god forsaken Tameside backwaters by foot and train yesterday and actually found a few worthwhile charity shop records while I was at it. OK, maybe they're not quite up to the standards of many VGplussers but we all can't be finding rare Polish prog LPs for pennies at Maltese carbooters all the time can we?
Oh yeah, warning: this post contains possibly the least cool LP ever to be posted on VG+.
First find of the day and something I'd wanted for a while.
No idea if this is any good, but couldn't pass up for 50p.
"Musique Concrete and Sound Patters composed and recorded by Desmond Leslie" Yep, the guy behind my very favourite Trunk Records LP.
Surprisingly listenable.
Probably not very good but bought as yet another addition to my cheesecake collection rather than the music anyway.
Back to VG+ territory here. Very pleased to find this. Had the original Stax Records and have always regretted selling it on.
What it says on the tin.
Very nice folky christian record (with a break).
Two more Sounds Orchestral LP for the pile. Both with the usual cheap, awful and irrelevant World Record Club artwork.
Some groovy moments here.
Paid £1 for this (most expensive purchase of the day). Contains the full 7 minute "Total Eclipse of the Heart". A great song.
Don't know what this is. Guessing it either jazz and/or funk. Probably mediocre.
90% rubbish private pressing saved by a nice upbeat pop number on the B side.
Best finds of the day BAR NONE. Two LP long Egyptian Islamic spiritual epics with amazing vocals. These records are brilliant, think I've got a new favourite vocalist, Om Kolsoum.
Not a bad comp I guess.
Classic single, nice to have a loud 45rpm cut of this song.
Contains a version of "Wave" so I figured worth a 45p gamble. Ain't played it yet.
Playing as I type and so far it sucks.
A christian LP of some sort...
Those Om Kalsoum LPs, despite being in pretty poor condition, are one of my best finds in ages. Really good stuff.
I've wanted to post something in this section for ages, but never thought I've had a haul worth sharing, but as I got a few gems yesterday I figured "why not?" Worse that could happen is I'd totally humiliate myself (again)...

I found a copy of that 2nd Om Kolsoum in a French vide grenier last summer and still haven't gotten round to listening to it as I wasn't overly optimistic from it's cover I guess - suddenly looking forward to hearing it now.
Ages since I played the Henry Duke thing but seem to recall there being one quite decent track on this.
Boy George knew my father
Only two
Jody Grind - Far Canal - LP - (Transatlantic)
This is a blinder of an LP - had the old "Where's my loon pants" urge two songs in - "Jump Bed Jed" is a monster track... the rest is solid too...
Negative Space - Hard, Heavy, Mean & Evil - LP - (Castle)
Quite a bit more rocky than I expected, but in a primative stylee - still has a healthy lashing of fuzz in there... might need a few more listens...
"It's all just one big plastic hassle..." - Psych-Out
