Thanks John mate, is the LP expensive like?

'Light my fire' is on 45, seems rare, but not too pricey. Ive had it on my ebay searches 2 or 3 years, and it's only come up once.

Just checked out their version of 'Summertime' on youtube, killer!

This is a blinder of an LP - had the old "Where's my loon pants" urge two songs in - "Jump Bed Jed" is a monster track... the rest is solid too...
    Nice find!

I was gonna hold back a bit... but I went out a bit today and:

International Harvester is the Korean reissue - but at least I have the music on vinyl now.

Friendsound is amazing artrock/psych - can't believe the price I paid for this when I listen to it. This should be really expensive, but maybe lots of copies were made?

And then a really weird one. A Hans Edler cash-in / exploito release I haven't seen before. Most famous for his outsider computer-pop / synth album Elektron Kukeson and a (cosmic?) disco record called Space Vision this is a 1972 Tarzan rock album with equal parts stupid 60s rock, surf, funky rock-groove and psych. Unfortunately much of it has comical sound effects, screams and spoken bits and silly lyrics and shit so it may not be a keeper despite having some really cool parts on it. Still - an odd curiosity I didn't know about.

The LP is a reissue... the one today was 20 Euros - close to Mint... The only reason I was out and about this morning was looking for that Collectors LP - - found one, but wasn't an OG - Warners did a re-issue...

I gave up on the 45 - shout when you have one and I'll add it back to my eBay search list - - some records just never appear for years

Great record mate. It is odd how it still can be picked up cheap though.

Yeah I think it's been re-issued John mate.

I'll drop you a PM if I grab that Negative space 45, the only one Ive seen on ebay went for something like $30.

Ages since I played the Henry Duke thing but seem to recall there being one quite decent track on this.
May have over sold the Om Kolsoum LPs a little, but they are great. They were in such poor condition I brought the trusty old Richer Sounds Bush "mini turntable" out of the bedroom as they weren't going anywhere near the stylus of my new(ish) Project platter and even then taped 'em during first listen.

I wasn't optimistic about them at all, I mean how many times are you stung by cheapo world music purchases? Apparently her older stuff is even better, will be investing in some very soon.

Fully intend to give Henry Duke another listen at some point. Only made it to end of side one last night anyway.

The 2011 'cutting down on records and having a thin out' still going well

one 45 this week - killer! known around here I think.

    El Pastel

All LPs this week from the real world except the Unspoken Word which was a BIN on here - thank you - I'm liking it a lot. Mostly came from one charity shop haul and this mornings booter which finally broke my 2011 duck. Will add more comment later but there's a few here I was chuffed to find for not much money

Project 3 LP is pretty out there for Enoch Light Abreaction has Sven Liabek all over it - sound like an Aussie Dylan thing on first needle drop.

X-Ray Spex, Hannibal Brooks OST and super minty Blue Mink are spares (Hannibal gone though). Bottom right LP put in s a warning - pretty dire despite the Kevin Ayers cover. Bobbie LP for my daughters growing record collection

Pretty much all of this from one charity shop earlier in the week - right place right time for once Couple of great funky covers on the Maggie Bell LP by the way including a version of Free's 'Wishing Well' which I've played a couple of time this weekend even though I'm not a fan of Free at all - too many bad 6th form common room associations.

Great finds Lee mate, especially "Caravan - If I could do all over again...", I would like to mint up on that one.

That Enoch Light looks right interesting.

It is - Larry Corryell on the guitar - two long freaky tracks at the start of each side which I would class as funky psychedelic Jazz and some shorter, straighter but still interesting tracks including a strnage cover of 'I Wish That I Knew How it Would Feel to Be Free'.

The Caravan aint mint sadly but at least it has a cover unlike my now spare copy

Which - the pictured one or the spare - actually they are both UK so that was a daft question

I'd a listen earlier today prompted by yer post - fairly atmospheric as well - I like this record a lot - I only have the reissue - its one of those I could never see (if I saw one) at a sensible price after reading about it...

@Lee - looks like cutting back to me - the theory being if you leave more records behind in the shop than you take out, you left with less than you could have done...

Feb seems to have started off well for most people, some great finds there!

These are from charities, trade credit and today's fair:

Sorry for the lack of detailed notes, just taking a quick break from report writing!

More than happy to answer any queries people may have though

Default Online trawling and a few Real world Finds

Pulling double shifts so Bay shopping has been my only hunting ground did get a few long time wants though.

Feminine Complex Livin Love (on Evolution South african Press)
Never knew this was released outide of America, but glad it was. It wasa £30 bin that is in graet shape. Did Evolution relaese any other Athena releases in other territories.
This is a solid Femme Vox album with animated egg style fuzz and great drums.

    Bonny Koloc St Ovation
All about My Aunt Edna . Stunning comped bit of bongo fuelled SSW

    Lindy Michaels ST Vault
Featuring a crazy song about diseases and a nice take on Leonard Cohen's Suzzane. Curio Folk with a great little girl lost cover

Danny Holien Colorado/ Red Wing 45 Tumbleweed
Got the album a while back (great insert, really lavish) Nice to get the 45, two strong tracks on it. Got a few copies that will go to good homes.

    Gabor Szabo Mizrab CTI
Cheap sealed BIN. Solid enough album with some nice spacey Bob Jmaes piano flourishes. Don't rate the Summer Breeze cover though

Cornbread Earl and Me OST Fantasy (French Press)
Nice funky blacksploitation album vrom the Blackbirds. Another Chaep Bin

    High Voltage ST CBS
A long time want, featuring members of Maxayn. Its like a polished rotary connection and ticks the boxes for me, a real showcase album and Laomie Washburn has a great voice

    Mort Schuman My Death Reprise
Starnge album , part scott walker, part Serge gainsbourg. Just a bizzare album, think it may be a grower though

Red Snapper Some Kind of Kink Warp
Always had a soft spot for them. Even like the 2 lone swordsmen remix

    Thats my lot
    Rock on Penderyn
