Just letting your brain spin a little Andy... It's satisfying to know you've had to submerge yourself in cold water to calm yourself down a little...

It may disapoint some of you to know that Paul Gonsalves wasn't found in a charity shop or even a record shop, and that it cost me more than I've ever spent on a record in my life, but definately short of the going rate...

Your hearts may sink further when I say that it won't stay pride of place in my collection for that special pipe, pint, slippers and easy chair jazz moment, and that I'll probably move it on for profit at some point...

....and you'll start to get angry when I say I can't at this moment reveal where it came from as the well may not be dry yet.

But if it's any consellation it is true that if i'd just had a little bit more cash, you'd have seen a picture of a very smug looking me between Paul Gonsalves and a Hum Dono.

Is that the Japanese reissue Fuz?
Attention!!! I know this is a very expensive Price for the record. This i one of my most beloved Records, so my primary intention isn't the selling. I like it in my collection. I only will sell it, if someone wants it that much, that he is willing to pay that much money. Therefore the unrealistic price. Please don't tell me about it. I don't want to cheat ,I don't force someone into buying it, I don't want to drive up the price. Thanks for understanding

Col - How can you forget that we were informed in no uncertain terms at a Belgian car boot sale that all British women in the 1960's wore hats, both in and out of pubs?!
it's OK to head out for wonderful, but on your way to wonderful, you're gonna have to pass through all right. When you get to all right,
take a good look around and get used to it, because that may be as far as you're gonna go.

Could the hat be an incredibly large Scottish 'tam', perhaps? that would go with the title

Obviously it's dead easy to tell in the flesh, but in a photo (aside from the Obi!) I think the best way to tell the difference is the OG has a white band at the bottom and the Jap reish has a light blue band.

I've got the Japanese reissue, I note that that is starting to go for modest amounts too. Amazing find Fuz! I wonder what the fidelity is like between the two?

I was made redundant during April. Got a new job pretty much straight away and had some cash to throw around. Probably over spent somewhat, but what the hell. Please excuse a few reissues, not sure if they're permitted. Anyway, so a few digging finds, charity shops, ebay etc. These all came in last weekend/this week and i still have more i am waiting for.

worth it for the cover of Jungle Fever, incredible

plus i finally bought myself a very nice case for my favorite 45s

Skipped Copenhagen Record Fair today and hit a local bargain basement instead and scored these for cheap. Happy to finally own Action speaks louder, the whole album is pretty cool, Polish Jazz Quartet is nice solid jazz, SCRA is slightly proggy country rock, the Shadows cover thing has a nice organ groove track, Kom i form is a Danish discofied exercise record

Been the Rotterdam last Friday, little recordfair and visit three shops. On the square by the recordfair was a giant gnome , the Netherlands is free of mind

I have to the Vinylspot ( photo 1) ... if you're are in need of a Hum Dono, that's the place to be at the moment. Perhaps the best shop at the moment in the Netherlands. Demonfuzz ( photo 2 and 3 ) rebuilt the shop partly, now you can see the records in the back. You may not enter though . Been to the Platenboef (no photo) too and the shop ( photo 4,5 and 6) behind Rotterdam Central Station and nearly got killed whilst digging .

Brought a few trade records and crossed a lot of wants of my list

Payed maybe a little to much for these Cathalyst Records, they where forever on my want list though. Both are in a Near Mint condition and I'm very happy to add them to my collection. Still have to find the other two.

That Albert Ayler was on also on my list, new grass starts free and gets funkier and spiritual when the second song starts. The Archie Shepp is another great spiritual release on Implulse.

The Norman Connors is also an spiritual album and Leon Thomas is one of my most favorite albums in my collection, had it on CD, so this Mint promo is a nice addition to my yodeling collection .

Two records of The Imaginations I never saw before, the first is sweet soul and the other way more funky.

Osamu Kitajima is on of my favorite Prog Jazz artist, minted up my copy. Still needed this CTI, don't know why I haven't bought this one before.

Compilation of two albums, Tangerine Dream, on green Brain label.

And a few other nice records ...
