Feeling very danish at the moment, I am half swedish and half norwegian which means I understand danish very well and is feeling very pan-scandinavian. Denmark playing very very well does help too.
Hoping Netherlands will win just not by too many goals! I'm trying to understand how they will go through, don't they need to win by 3 goals?

Portugal were well worth that win I feel. Denmark unlucky though really, could have had the penalty at 1-1 and almost got something against Portugal but end up with nothing.

Portugal could have had 5. Ronaldo was scorching, and actually looked like a captain for the first time that I remember.
I was wearing orange, too, but that was just my Sunday evening shirt. Holland thoroughly deserved to go out without a point if all Robben and Sneijder are going to do is hit from distance and hope for glory. Ireland may not be anywhere near as talented, but even they put up a better team performance.

Portugal could have scored at least 2 goals extra. Germany made the effort and won so there is really no one else to blame.

It's been a terrific tournament so far - no 0-0 draws and if there's been a penalty I missed it.
Still no absolute belter of a match like Spain-Yugoslavia in 2000 or Czech Republic-Holland in 2004, but those only come along a few times in a generation.

Unintentionally (honest!) I took Beddoes into a bar and the football was on. We got settled with a drink and watched the last 25 mins of extra time plus the penalties. What a load of rubbish. I was ashamed to put Mark through that dross of a game.

England didn't deserve a penalty shoot out at the end of that game. They needed a firing squad.
I was glad we lost, as the thought of seeing England thrashed by Germany again would have been too much to bear.

Agree. For the first nil-nil of the tournament, I thought it was good value.
My son, being Spanish, likes to count passes and regularly gets up into the 20s when Spain are playing. He didn't get into double figures last night before he gave up.
My favourite bit was the England free kick where Rooney decided to forget all that tiki-taka bollocks and just charge up the field straight into the Eyetie machine guns. I was roaring.
