Bloody hell! The Moment. More Prisoners! I was in the fan club and won a signed album. Met them (when they reformed) at the Cluny, really decent people, still raucous live, as are Graham Day and the Gaolers.

Yes, but can we ban mod revival please? (Prisoners doesn't count as that, they are good).

I'll add some Hunters and Collectors to the pile, great fun for some air bass guitar as I recall.

!!! That's a shameful lapse by YouTube video uploaders.

Here's a squelchy synth very cheap record with a killer bassline and soulful bathroom vocals:

This is great - still not been able to work through all the posts but some goodies there (would like to know if there's a dub of the Leather Nun that I could play without worrying whether the kids were out of earshot).

Seb, we can't ban Mod revival, I wouldn't have known about the Prisoners if it weren't for this thread and they are, quite clearly, brilliant.

And Bruce, those Bollywood tracks are great fun... as was Green's Nike suit!

Must be getting on with some work now, but if anyone can square this pop circle with what Al Jourgensen turned into, I'll be amazed…

Good to see that some have come round to re-appraise the Garage Revival - 'twasn't always so.

The Mod revival tho' was irredeemably crap until some turned-on sparks 'discovered' Rubber Soul and Revolver:

Col, didn't The Crack win a record deal in some BBC Talent Show? I remember watching it, but can't recall the details - the song they won't with was about not being let down, or not letting down.

From memory Candy Flip's Strawberry Fields Forever and Northside's Shall We Take A Trip were just outside the 80's. so you'll have to save your baggy clips for the I Heart The 90's thread...
it's OK to head out for wonderful, but on your way to wonderful, you're gonna have to pass through all right. When you get to all right,
take a good look around and get used to it, because that may be as far as you're gonna go.

    I heart the 80s, but I really heart 1986.

Should have seen me getting it on after digging these out at the weekend.

Noted but will get around to some tail-end 80s baggy soon :coumbo:

Bought this after Danny Baker reviewed it in NME one week. Ace video, great slice of Duke Bootee business.

All this talk of Adam Ant reminded me of this offshoot.

A spot of oddball pop, regarded as an electro classic in New York.

more whacky pop, this time from Richard Strange. Shot at the Fridge.
