"I HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS OF HOURS SHCOOLING MYSELF ON TITLES ARTIST AND GENERES.." I think his time would have been better spent teaching himself basic spelling and punctuation!
"Record collecting is no mere hobby, no innocuous leisurely diversion. It is a feverish passion bordering on dementia, driving those under the influence to irrational, compulsive, fanatical extremes."

I want to go to an extreme art class. I wonder what that comprises..?

"Sometimes I get a hot ear..."
Some suggestions from me:
COUM Transmissions - pre-Throbbing Gristle perfomance art shows seems to have included real crucifictions, vomit eating + piss drinking, enema outbursts directed at the audience and more.
That... Swiss or Austrian I think, can't remember the name who had himself shot in the arm, then crucified to the roof of a car that drove around town.
That other guy whose name slips me now who amputates himself and sells the pieces to art collectors over the world in little jars with formaldehyde. When I read an interview with him back in the 90s he had just recently had his tongue cut off plus already gotten rid of some toes and fingers and possibly other bits I've forgotten about.
Yeah... if I had $75000 to spare I probably would buy his records just to support such nice and constructive after school programs. Or better - just use the money and start one myself.

I don't want to be snarky - good luck to him in his endeavours (is that spelt right?) - but this bit made me chuckle...

I also loved the EXTREME ART bit.
That's the American Chris Burden.
But the Austrians did some pretty extreme art as well, think of the Vienna Actionists with Herrmann Nitsch, Rudolf Schwarzkogler and Otto Mühl (who was later convicted of sexual crimes involving adolescents, in the context of his cult-like commune, not during any extreme art after school class as far as I know).
We Swiss however are never EXTREME.
There was a chapter on the Vienna activists in the book I read many years ago, plus a bit on Chris Burden (apparently). My brain probably mixed it up over the years...

Google search for Swiss extreme art and found: http://www.squidoo.com/extreme-art-of-kunst-aufraumen
Nothing involving bodily fluids or violent acts but I have to say I quite like it.
EDIT: especially the fruit bowl - look carefully...

See, we Swiss are EXTREME in tidying up...
(His books are super popular and he used to be on TV all the time with his comedy.)
But here's some real Extreme Art From Switzerland, not entirely my cup of tea, but record related:
