Eclectic Mud 7th July - Nobles

That’s right – the Mud is a week early this month you lucky people AND we’re going head to head with T in the Park and headliners Stone Roses! Perhaps an airing of ‘Waterfall’ is in order?

Fuz is still off on tour – he tells me he’s working hard but I’ve seen the haul he’s had out of the charities and shops on the first leg

Stepping up to the plate this month:

Firstly we have the honorary third Mud man – Sie Norfolk. The boy never disappoints on the decks – such a sublime mix of the genres and all the very cream. Sie always costs me a fortune when I hear him play as my wants list goes up exponentially! Expect the best in Mod, Psych, Soul, Funk, Eastern Blok Rok, Punk etc – he’s got it all.

Secondly we have the young whipper-snapper Mr S J Herd – direct from the Dundee soul scene. The boys a young ‘un but he knows his onions when it comes to the decks – expect Northern, Southern and Xover Soul delights among over spins.

…and I’ll be there playing the usual tasty audio gloop.

The musical formula remains as always unchanged – top music from any and every genre - as the mood takes us. The only unbroken rule… It must be played from vinyl.

Eclectic Mud is FREE, rekkids from 9pm until 1am… spread the word.

I'm sealing my records in a a whitewater gear bag in preparation for the journey down the Easter Road to Nobles for tonight's Eclectic Mud! Now i just need a raft. I"m glad to be invited in again, but i'm a saddened too as i was looking forward to hearing some more of Sie's good stuff! It'll be good to hear what Mr. Herd has got with him, and to be blown away by all of Lee's newest goodies.
It has been so dreary - i'm in need of a big warm blast of deep soul and sister funk - so that's what i've got in my bag.
I hope people can weather the weather and make it on down!
