Default Programme Music / JW Wants

I have never seen these albums, but was used for the C4 test card music. They are on the Programme Music / JW label and are PM025/6.

Anyone with these or know more about them.

    Cheers, Tony

PM25 is 'Hey Disco' by Trevor Bastow (there was one on eBay recently - may still be there!)
PM26 is 'Supertrax' by David Reilly.

More than that I can't say, as I ain't got either of 'em!

Still working on the BRH4 MD by the way - work keeps on getting in the way at the moment, though!

    Hey LT !

Have just sent you a PM - excuse my ignorance, wasn't sure if it was you I spoke to about the S4C tapes, but will get to post them this week. Got my padded envelope, so should get the the PO on Friday when I need to tax my car. Cheers, Tony.

Can anyone else help me with any Programme Music lp's. Mostly the ones used on Channel 4. LP #'s PM 008, 010, 017, 022, 023, 025, 026. If anyone has these, I can sort out a trade for some Brutons, or cash waiting...

    Cheers :-)

I've got a small pile of 20 or so JW and some are definitely 'reissues' of Programme/Impress music stock - It's quite easy to know this as they simply stuck new labels over the originals - so JW 439 is in fact PM 023 if that's any help, let me know

Which one? This sounds interesting! I'm not familiar with the Themes LP, what's it like?

(PS - Tony, your tapes are safe; don't worry, I'm looking after them!)

I think I had the Ad-Version Therapy Vol 2 as just sold that on E-Bay. Wasn't aware that it was a compliation. Silly me !

A copy of 492 on cdr or md would be fantastic. Let me know as money waiting, or I have a number of Bruton's hanging around before they go on E-Bay.

I have a copy of PM25 on it's way as we speak. I can send that to you when I've finished with it. I could do with copies of some on your list if you would be happy to supply CDR's or MD's ??

Some of the PM's are going for crazy money again, but I know they seem to be rarer than their big brothers in the JW range.

I'm desperate for copies of PM015 / PM026 if you have them. A CDR would be great, and can sort out some funds for your trouble.

Just got some JW's as well they appear to have re-released some of these, but the two above are the one's I could really do with. Ordered more JW's and should be with me anytime. Fairly new to the JW library. Some cracking tracks amongst them.

    Cheers, Tony

ello, more of a recommendation request here than an answer to the wants postings, but i've just picked up 'hey disco' and i think it's amazing, i was wondering if anyone can suggest where i might look for some similar sounds, either on this library series or any others, not after you're secret weapons obviously but any tips would be cool CHARS

Hey Disco was on both PM025 then re-released as JW440. There are similar tracks, discoey and the like around the 420-444's, but I only have 5 lp's with more shipping their way from the US. Other library albums have a disco feel to them but you need to shop about. One album in particular is very good and is BRH4 (Bruton) Disco Happening. This does have more funky / disco tracks on it.

Let me know if you can't get hold of it, could organise a copy of it for you on CDR. I tend to buy lp's, record onto pc and clean them up using software. Recommended by various people here on this forum. Are you interested in a particular type of music or specific tracks ?

B ODDBALL thanks for the offer, i think i'll be okay picking this one up but I'm interested in hearing any late 70s / early 80s electronic library sounds - if you got a cdr mix of anything like this that you're happy to distrbute i'd absolutely LOVE to hear it, let me know and we can try and sort something out. Another quick note that the BRI section of the Bruton library is specifically electronic and futuristic music. I have only had two albums in that series, on the early BRI 8 (I think) was Dawn Of An Era by Francis Monkman, quite a famous track, and BRI28 had Myriad Of Colours a tune used by Sky Television at the launch for their "At The Movies" feature.

Stay clear of later 80's as it's trash, this pretty much goes for all library music. I prefer the 70's and early 80's stuff, much more funky. The section "Library" on the main VV site gives some info on the libraries available, and typically what you should be looking out for and ones to avoid.
