I've just spoke to Daz (the owner of The Tanners) and he was supposed to have some band on the Saturday night, but they have pulled out. So it looks "we" can spin both nights.

I will sort something out tonite with Sie, but it looks like y'all are going to need more records!!!

...also my mate is selling his hip hop collection (LP's and 12's mostly US-pressings 86-93)... So if any of you are intrested PM me please, and i'll try to sort something out for the saturday afternoon - Hadrian Elephant has got first dibs on them as this was arranged a long time ago...

    cheers craig...

    That's great news Sayer!

OK, can folks start to confirm a couple of things on this thread... Sayer and I are gonna start the "names out the hat" process for playtimes etc next week..

1 - are you going to be there on the Sunday as planned, or are you having to drop out ? (no prob's if you gonna be MIA, just good to let us know.. )

2 - if you are in Newcastle on the Saturday night and fancy a spin at the Tanners, let me know as Sayer and I will start to promote the Saturday night too.

    Thanks!

Also - there will be a pool tournament organised on the Sunday afternoon for all those DJ'ing and their associates who want to get involved!

This is being organised by Gibby, one of the DJ's from The Breakdown night at the Tanners...

Well, myself, Colin, Rich, Bongolia, Col Wolfe, and Vibra should all be there on the Saturday, seeing as the hostel is booked. I'll let them confirm whether they want to spin 'owt on the Saturday, but I'm definitely up for it.
    Don't call it a comeback... H, N, and the number 7.
    Ok, it's a bit of a comeback, I suppose...

Thinking about it, perhaps we should let the local Breakdown DJ's have the decks on Satuday night and we all kick back relax and chat over a few beers whilst they spin some records...?

That sounds good - whaddya say?

    haha!

World Headquarters is a pretty cool place, as the Flip Da Script guys will come on here and tell you... In an ideal world, I would have loved to have got us a night there on the Saturday, but we weren't able to sort it...

( thanks to Scriptflipper, Sayer etc for trying tho' )

I'm there both nights.. if there's something good on then I'm up for relaxing with a few bevs, and if not, then I'm up for playing records and relaxing with a few bevs..
Let him have the lot for £2.00 - we were only going to throw 'em out anyway...

World Headquarters used to be about the only decent club when i lived there. the same bloke ran a pub which was quite cool as well (forget the name, was it The Telegraph?). had 45s stuck all round the top of the walls though, which pissed me off. the club used to have a changing selection of LP sleeves up behind the bar, some good and pricey stuff. never met the owner, but heard some dodgy stories from people who knew him...

yeah it is cool for the saturday... we've got the Tanners!

The "locals" are goin to spin on Saturday, the guests on Sunday. Sounds pretty fair to me...

World HQ is ok. the owner is a complete tosser to say the least, but it is an option for 11pm after The Tanners. If I remember correctly it is 7 quid to get in.... the other option is the Uni "Brighton Beach" is on!

    cheers craig...

I'd politely disagree Mr S. I think the Trent House has got a great jukebox. Mind you, the appeal may wear off if you are a local, rather than a very occasional visitor like my good self.
