Blimey BB Raers, had a friend at school who thought he was hilarious, never been a fan of wanton destruction and blowing things up still he had a way about him.

Nice Jay, I should take a pic of my Bruce Lee book I rescued from my parents the other week.

Nothing much for me, the new 'Belbury Poly' LP arrived hooray! This was quite cheap on ebay the sound samples seemed to remind me of the 90's but its pretty recent, 2014:

And this has sat in a charity warehouse in its shrink at 6 quid for ages. I have a love hate relationship with 'Herbie Mann' but its live and a good vintage so thought what the hell. Nice long version of 'Comin' Home Baby' on it too. American import with cut. Just realised it's June but they were bought before then and I've had my eye on the Herbie Mann for a while so more a sod it I'll buy it than a find. Listening now nice afro feel to the whole thing not a hint of fromage so, happy man indeed. His soloing on 'Coming Home Baby' is brilliant, not a bum note or slip of time, hence the standing ovation so they do reprise and he does another solo. :

Mike Neville is a legendary figure in the North East of England. He was sort of our Ron Burgundy, as he was our long running local TV news anchor. He was dryly funny and always gave the impression he'd had a long lunch beforehand, if you get my drift.

also, he was allegedly one of the inspirations for Viz's Roger Mellie character.

I vaguely remember a news item about Mike Neville losing his driving licence on the way home from celebrating after getting his driving licence back

Ha, well, good on you, you're off on a good start.

Now all you need to do is listen to Sabotage

Og Neighbourhood Childr'n? That's a cracking good lp. Got mine in a charity shop, minus the cover though.
What's the deal on The Middle Of The Road?
Everyone tear down your own little wall
That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all

haha, I actually left that one in the box as I thought (probably correctly) that 2 LP's AND a live LP was just too much,
    even for me!

I remembered this, was in the YMCA today, first album I pull out is:

Its 'Non Stop Dancing 14' even though it looks like 11 in the pic. I think the cover has been used on other releases and there are variations. Anyway Mint copy, last Hansi record I will ever buy... he says.
