    Default Shere Khan's Freebies

Some Records here if anyone wants some. Usual freebies rules- no lurkers, 100 posts, 3 or 4 per package and in order to be rid of them if they're not taken you could end up with extra guff in your parcel! So beware Mantovani! Should cost £3 to post in the UK. Say what you want in the thread and just check someone else hasn't said what they want up-thread. I'll check in the week and post next weekend. Now here are the pictures- don't get too excited. The 'Catalyst' in the white sleeve is just C and D side from the 'Complete Recordings Volume 1'

I see you finally found some time mate! As we did our lucky dip swap I wont partake but just to say well played that man!

It's quite an interesting album 'The Sound Barrier' Boi Bach bit eighties but has some good parts. I kept my copy so I must have heard something in it.

Yes, I looked behind the cooker and there was a bit of time laying about there-no one ever goes behind the cooker, do they.

Feel free to partake- I imagine I'm not exactly going to be oversubscribed.

What's that French Fried like? Saw that online the other day but can't see anything about it.

Fairly relaxed orchestral versions of French classics some with vocal harmonies, some with vibes. There's a nice 'La Mer' which is done as sort of Rhumba. There are vibes and bongos on the tracks but none of them go bonkers.

I'm probably too new here, but if no one wants that Brian Gilbert group one i'd love it, got some other ones on that label and the covers are sweet.

I don't think there are any hankerers Dave so if you also want to nab anything that's left just say.

Go on then mate, seems to have calmed down so if no one else hankers can I grab 'Claro intellecto', 'cambridge jass', 'Richard Digance' and I'll punt on 'DL Menard's he looks like he's made an effort.

Feel free to correct but I don't think they've gone, on phone so may have missed a straggler.

D L Menard is fab- I really should keep him but I must slim things down. I might get in touch with people tomorrow in preperation for sending at the weekend.

Thank you children. They are all in the post and if one doesn't arrive I've got proof of post so we'll take the Post Office to the cleaners. They'll regret the day they didn't deliver Al Caiola!

Al Caiola has landed! His Command LPs are not always the most interesting, and I am going to let go of two of the ones you've sent me. However I quite like The Power of Brass one, especially as there's not much brass on it. I will keep this—for a bit at least, so thanks SK!

And I have just learnt that he died last year—http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...-was-96-946769

Caiola played on such hits as Paul Anka's "Put Your Head on My Shoulder," Neil Sedaka's "Calendar Girl," Bobby Darin's "Mack the Knife" and "Splish-Splash," Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson," Johnny Mathis' "Chances Are," Del Shannon's "Runaway" and Ben E. King's "Stand by Me."

Yes, I knew if I hung onto that sticker long enough I'd eventually find a use for it.

Thanks mate, still not had a chance to listen to anything, I think DL Menard's eighties Cajun will be up first.
