I think the unpleasant thing about this is puts you in such close proximity to other people's greed.

it's OK to head out for wonderful, but on your way to wonderful, you're gonna have to pass through all right. When you get to all right,
take a good look around and get used to it, because that may be as far as you're gonna go.

Had a nice ride on my bicycle and made a little tour visiting some record shops in Breda.
Found the five 12"'s I hoped to buy, so that's all good.
It wasn't too busy, but I must say I made sure to leave before the instore concerts.

I cycled into the city and picked up both singles I was after: the Pin Group reissues on Superior Viaduct.
Both were early Flying Nun releases (circa 1981-82) and originals are impossible to find.
I suppose there was little danger of them selling out before I got to them but even so I was delighted to get them,
so RSD was a pretty postitive experience after all. The planned reissue of the Go To Town 12" has been postponed.

Ha\d a positive experience in terms of getting everything I hoped to get. Also had a very nice celebratory frothy coffee and an almond croissant as I sat and watched the crowd at Sister Ray inching along. Couldn't help wondering why at least some of those people didn't wander around the corner to SOTU, which was pretty well stocked and had hardly any queue by then. I guess some people just enjoy each others company. Nowt as queer as folk...............

Disk Union in Japan discounts the RSD stock that doesn't sell quickly, but looking at your username, the travelling expenses might make it rather more expensive than 60 quid.

I bet most of use wanted the Gil Melle Andromeda Strain re-issue but not at 90 quid ...

I wasn't going to buy any RSD, but in the afternoon I dropped by a small shop that mostly does Americana retro clothes (jeans/trucker caps/checked shirts) but also has a few records, mainly rockabilly/hardcore/garage rock. I couldn't resist the Bowie - No Plan clear vinyl at £15 as there was no queue or hassle involved.

I notice all the newspapers this year seem to have ran stories about grippers and flippers on their websites. Maybe they do it every year it just seemed to be more prevalent, how you stop such things I don't know. £180 for a 'Little Mix' album on pink vinyl, crivvens!
