Record Collecting Radio Shows

Hi all

Anyone know any good Record Collecting Radio shows be they FM, DAB or Online

Here are 2 I try to listen to

Marc Rileys Mint

Transmits on DAB, digital TV or online

A nice show, the high light for me being where 2 of them go out to charity shops and try to find rare records , who ever find the most valuable records is the winner, other bits include a label spotlight, Stupid Music related items on Ebay and probably the most daft bit a track played on 8 track. Its a bit pointless this me thinks as all you get is a well known track sounding like its being played on thirty year old tape (WHY?). Lately they have replaced it with a much better feature where they find a rare record which is worth a few quid (last week it was De Wolfe track), Find it in the BBC Archives and play it


Record Collectors

Transmits on 96FM and DAB Digital Radio and Online

Quite nice this one, a bit too much emphases on Rock and Roll and 60's for my taste, but they have a phone in where people can get their vinyl valued which I always look forward to, "hmmmm, Leo Sayers records are probably only worth 50p", etc. One guy always talks about Elvis and the Beatles, the other always talks about Northern Soul. The show is based in Shropshire, so expect a lot of local talk about Record Fairs and gigs, that aside its worth a listen
