    Ma I'm happy you have picked up on this;

    It’s always a nightmare trying to communicate a night’s music policy - you either keep it simple and ambiguous or start looking in your thesaurus and confuse everyone.

    One the first records I bought 'back in the day' was a 'house' tune or if you want to be pedantic 'acid house' on Trax - Phuture- We are Phuture .

    Since then there has been a multitude of different forms of House/Garage - my favourite at the moment in name only is Scouse House. I cannot be arsed listing the rest but I'm sick of seeing the words Funky and House paired together. Maybe someone wants to help me list some others.

    Chicago is a metaphor for a stripped down, rawer, soulful sound that could be in fact from anywhere. I'm digging into my record collection and the early sound of Chicago,New York, Detroit sounds really fresh.

    I'd use the term Deep House but of cause that’s a genre in its own right

    Sounds good, I think its similar to the movement I remember, must have been about 9 or 10 years ago, was heavely influenced by the acid house you talk of with adonis etc...

    damn the names is on the end of my tongue,who did that deep chicago tune that has the sample of martin luther king at the beginning... love that one

    I really like alot of the old detroit techno too, eddie flashin fowlkes, he did some great stuff, gona have to dig it out again

    Forget the labels and forget the year, just know that Veris plays good quality music.

    I leave Reading and then something good at the weekend starts. Just my luck.

    Will Tom be playing?
