Default Another Crassly Materialistic New Finds Thread

Managed to score about 50 LPs and 10 nice 7" in Japan, which I will attempt to depict when I can be bothered to photograph 'em all. Lots of goodies though, a few pricey pieces, and all relatively inexpensive.

Since coming back on Saturday, a few morsels from the boot and the charidee:

Positive Force - We got the Funk 12" - addictive Sugarhill disco joint.
Oscar Toney Jr - For Your Precious Love LP - apparently popular on the Northern scene. Apparently. Seems to have a couple of good tracks.
Quiver - ST LP - so-so 1971 rock. Nice intro on "Killer Man".
Geno Washinington - Hipsters, Flipsters. . . LP - fucked but eminently playable, really punchy John Schroeder production.
Mankind - Dr Who 12" - disco fromage on novelty blue vinyl.
George Fame - Green Onions /Do Re Mi 7" - shame it's slightly trashed as this is superb.
Chic - Good Times 12" - another discofunky classic type of thing.
Johnny Bristol - Hang on in There Baby LP - so-so mid-70's soul, but the opening cut "Woman" isnae bad.

    Just the one this week:

It’s a Kamen Rider OST and to be honest its not that good.
A couple of Okish action/drama style tunes but that’s about it.
I was really fiending for this album when I didn’t know its ID (its often sold as a secret squirrel) but did my homework sourced and copped it for a reasonable price and now wonder what all the fuss was about.

Yes, after a little sleuthing, hunting for clues and weighing up the evidence it would be appear to be 'Kamen Rider'...

    OK

I will revitalise my find (internet purchase) and make it sound more remarkable by adding a description for the record as its listed on ebay at the moment.

    Here we go:

This is a ill futuristic soundtrack for a Japanese TV show which is basically a library record (all the uncut music and tracks from the entire season of the tv series) The cover alone will make your jaw drop! Trust me!

    now is that better!!!

I finally took some pics of my slightly more colurful Japanese finds, will try to add 'em tomorrow night or something. . .

Should be a bit more visually arresting.

A couple of nice pieces came in the post today:

GEINOU YAMASHIRO-GUMI / OSOREZAN / DOU NO KENBAI

I think this record does deserve the hype its receiving at the moment but still cant believe it got bid up to $500 on ebay a few month ago when you can do a google search and buy it of a Japanese dealer for a fraction of that price, mine was about £25.
But dope it is and hey judge for yourself:

    INOUE TAKAYUKI-ACTING LIKE A DEVIL (7inch)

I searched for the album that this 7” is taken from but aside from ebay (I am not paying those prices) this LP has prove a toughie for me to catch, still I believe this is one of the better tunes on the album
Inoue Takayuki is the guy who composed/played on most of those Japanese Cop OST’s doing the rounds at the moment.

Wondering if anyone could give me a little info on a 7" i picked up at lunch time. Its by "Second Nature" - A) Something Made Of Love B) Same Old Feeling. The main reason i picked it up is due to Alan Hawkshaw`s involvment (writing & producing). So is it any good? i suppose i could just wait until i get home and listen to it but im an impatient bugger...
