Ha ha - I had an ongoing joke with a mate when we went to charity shops and record fairs where he was killing himself trying to hunt down the Gedagio (?) - Monkey theme 7" which like the Chi Mai 7" was a BBC record. Everytime I found Chi Mai I'd show him the BBC label and watch as his face went from excitement to misery...

After a year or so of this I dug up the Monkey theme and gave it to him for Christmas - the very same year he game me Chi Mai as a joke present claiming the b side was a killer! How we laughed. Perhaps you had to be there...

You don't work for Alan 'The' Mck do you, Sargio? He has a thriving business turning records into petrol for the Saudis... If it's not cocktail prog it goes straight into the refinery...

If it's the Mack In Tha Hat were talking about, surely the statement is "if it's not mid 70's jazz funk, then it goes straight into the refinery"

One man's mid 70's jazz funk is another man's cocktail prog...

talking of Cocktail Prog, i was trying to ask you the other night if you'd seen Catterick, with the jazz fusion disco in the hotel bar...? i think Mark started being distracting by putting on his westling mask though...

    (and that sounds very wrong)

I completely missed that question. The answer is no, I don't generally tend to watch my performances back (it makes me cringe).

As an aside, Mark needs to work more on his Full Nelson's.

I know exactly what you mean, the same sort of thing went on in my own head when I was looking for Godiego - I still get a little flutter when I see a BBC single, in the hope it'll be something interesting, and then it turns out to be flippin' Chi Mai again!

Having said that, the b-side really isn't bad at all!
