Default like hot cakes i tells ye!

Went to the Sunn0))) and Earth gig last night and was amazed at how quickly the merchandise was selling.
They were selling a split gold (colured) 12" as part of the tour for £12 and nearly everyone i saw bought at least two copies. One guy bought 3 and then i saw him go back and get another two (and there were lots of people buying them). Having checked ebay this morning i see people are already selling these for twice the price.

Sorry just an observation i thought i'd share

selling stuff to immediately sell on like that is very mercenary, and shows little respect for other fans IMO

buying a spare copy of something that will slip under people's radar and they'll only realise they want it in a year's time is different tho...

yeah especially this guy because from what i saw (i had a good vantage point and i was inside before the doors opened) he ain't telling the truth.

WAS ON A STRICTLY ONE PER PERSON AT THE BIRMINGHAM SHOW, I'M LUCKY ENOUGH TO KNOW STAFF THERE AND GOT THESE FEW COPIES BEFORE THE SHOW (A LOT OF BARTERING AND SOUL SELLING WAS DONE!!!)

i only saw a bit of Earth and then left
Don't really know either bands stuff and from what i heard of earth i'm guessing it's not really my thing to be honest, but that could be just my impression of the live show, which i did'nt find very engaging. I guess i should have bought the 12" to be able to make a proper judgement and if i did'nt like it i could have flogged it on ebay

would like to hear those bands. saw SUNN O)) (or however it's spelt) at ATP a few years back and it was an interesting experience... they replaced Earth who had cancelled (so great posters up at the venue, saying 'SUNN replaces EARTH' )

think there might be overlap in members between the bands anyway. ETK would prob know but he still seems to have been banished from the VinylVulture Kingdom

Not sure about some members being in both bands, but i think sunn0))) are supposed to be a tribute to Earth.
For those interested i have it on good authority that both bands will be collaborating at this years supersonic festival in birmingham

I believe that Sunn O))) were originally a tribute band to Earth (who since reformed) - so for both of them to be playing on the same tour is an interesting concept!
