yeah, its a shame and from what i read elsewhere it ain't coming back.

the fuzz, acid, flowers revisited book got a 2,500 run and apparently that was the last print run they are gonna do aswell.

the UK one, do you mean the 'tapestry of delights'?

if so, i don't have a copy but the revisited version is getting released in paperback in March, and most places I have seen have it listed for £30-40, however I spotted it on Amazon for £9.99, so have it on pre-order - bloody cheap cos shipping it will cost a bomb (its a 1000 pages)!!

    Edit: heres the Amazon link

The prefix is 0044, and then you don't dial the 0 in front of the number... Like, if it's 077722 whatever, you dial 004477722 whatever

Thanks everybody! Turns out from the USA it's 011 then 44 then the number minus its initial zero.

Just stumbled across this link which provides a download to the orginal web pages for all four books (Tapestry Of Delights, Fuzz, Acid & Flowers, Adrift In The Ether, Dreams, Fantasies & Nightmares).

    http://8daysinapril.blogspot.com/

Its not up to date (you can get the latest editions of some of the books on the freak emporium web site), but bloody useful to have your machine.

Also, loads of other interesting kraut, prog and psych stuff on there, if you' like that kind of thing

I've noticed that Amazon has now put the price up to the same price as all other Online books sellers. Was the £9.99 price a mistake or a very generous offer ?
Will they still honour the £9.99 price for everyone who preordered it ?

I've just view my outstanding orders, and it's still listed in there as £9.99 with despatch estimated as 11 Mar 2006 - 21 Mar 2006. Fingers crossed eh!

I have just checked Amazon and it says Publication date 30th March, its now 2nd April and all online book sops still list this as not yet available. even Amazon has 3-6 weeks wait on this book. Has anyone received the book yet, know why no one seems to stock it or am I just being too impatient.

I've had a couple of 'order updates' from Amazon, telling me the release date's been put back, but no definite date yet...
We know when a mate buys it for you too.

yeah, same here for both the new Fuzz, Acid.... and the Tapestry of Delights.

also, worryingly I ordered a book a month or so ago that was priced up wrong (Martha Cooper - Hip Hop files for £2), and they emailed me saying they had cancelled the ordered as the price was a mistake, just hope they don't do the same with this one.

    "Dear Customer Greetings from Amazon.co.uk.

We are writing to inform you that the price of the title "Hip Hop
Files: Photographs 1979-1984" by Martha Cooper was incorrect at the
time your order was placed. Despite our best efforts, with the
millions of items available on our website, pricing errors can
    occasionally occur.

In our Pricing and Availability Policy (see
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...wse/-/1040614), we state
that where an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we
    contact the customer before dispatching.

Please know that we will be cancelling all affected orders. If you
still wish to purchase this item, please place a new order online
which will be charged at the correct price.

    "
